  1. Mario williams....seriously?? I didn't have Houston Not resigning him. Peppers AND Williams, whoa. Mario williams is amazing, I'd like to have a vjax, but I think Williams is such a better football player. Blow the cap space on Mario, Mario and grubbs. if the bears were going after Avril how could they not go after Mario...
  2. I'll go with Ian stewart too. Not sure he will be all star caliber, that's putting him in aramis territory. But I think he surprises. Soriano goes .225
  3. Wells will have a sub 4 era Shark will have a plus 4 era
  4. I don't see why the bears couldn't move Grubbs to rg. Bears have a lot of holes and bad holes on the line. Getting talent is what I'm wishing for. Webb sucks, I want a lt drafted higher than the 7th round. Im all for moss. Shouldn't need a big signing bonus to get him so if he ends up being a total ass they drop him without much cap hit.
  5. I just read the news about his five year extension and the 'derek rose rules' i laughed at first because i lived through the bird rules and then read what the derek rose rules were and laughed. Haha that [expletive] really was built around him. This guy is a player and a player beyond a pg that is expected. He is so fun to watch like a MJ (SG dont win championship!!) and maybe now its PG. Love it and love his game, so fun to watch and see if he can work on his game like MJ needed to when he was 23.
  6. Even if the Bears would of won today, and they should of despite the prevent defense and Barber mistakes, this team is garbage with Henie leading the offense. So lets say the Bears would of won today...the offense sucked balls for the last 3 weeks. Maybe, just maybe with a lot of luck they could back their way in the playoffs, but with 2 more games even against weak oppenents i dont see them winning. The line sucks [expletive] at pass blocking it always had this year, Jay Cutler made this whole thing work (and Forte). This team is terrible in 3rd down conversions since he left because max protect is pretty useless in those situations. The line, the line, the damn line is what keeps this team from being a solid NFC contender, jay saved this team from sucking like a 3-5 win by the skin of their teeth team.
  7. Im pretty happy about the Hamilton news. He doesnt slash like 2 guards typically do but he shoots the mids off of dribble, pass etc, and can hit the 3s which is nice too. I especially like his mid range and perimeter game for this offense and Rose. This team is all about beating Miami and i think Rip is a big improvement in the offensive end. Oh and Rose needs to break LeBron off the dribble and hit that midrange jumper he is weak in. I wish the season started Dec 24 a saturday with nothing to do and no football. Bulls playing Christmas night is nice though. Last year was a pretty exciting year. This year is all about beating Miami and winning it all. Losing to Miami again will be like the Bulls pre champships losing to Det. That sucked balls.
  8. Hot damn! Hooray for the knight on the white horse.
  9. I'm starting to really like this Chris Conte kid. He is really solid on the underneath running and passing routes, would like to see him a little more tested on the over the top passing stuff, not sure this is the week for that though. Will the Bears offense take advantage of any short fields they get from Denver this game? I dont have a lot of confidence but when they get the chance in the RZ they got to make it happen. They obviously aren't going to march down the field except for maybe one time or 2 times. 2 stats popped out to me last week while watching the game. Bears 3rd down conversions and RZ td efficiency. Both of those stats screamed out to me Jay Cutler. No way does this offense accomplish those numbers without him.
  10. Yes, this is total ish. And add Caleb only threw the ball 23 times, he got sacked @ 25% of pass plays. Caleb held on to the ball or had no idea where to go many of those times. KC's offense is garbage, im not giving the bears defense a lot of credit. They played well but part of their domination was the opponent.
  11. Yeah, I've heard that. Don't really know what his qualifications are. Does Martz just say, "here's my playbook". Not sure how this would work. He's been a tight ends coach, offensive line coach, tight ends coach, head coach, assistant head coach and now line coach again. I think he's probably qualified in the general sense, but I fear he'd run a dumbed down version of this scheme and isn't very imaginative, or bright for that matter. Actually, he'd probably be more to Lovie's liking consisidering his history. I'd much rather prefer the guy who could be the next head coach (the next Sean Payton as raw said and as we said last time this position was available). Exactly he'd probably use the other end of that pencil he carries to dumb down this offense. Keep him at line coach. Cutler is old enough and talented enough to adapt to another system, he is not a 'system' qb.
  12. Ms T's sucks. Zing Zangs is awesome. I use to make my own bloody mary mix but zing zangs is almost as good. I just add a little pickle juice, celery salt and hot sauce. Oh and i can't help myself but....denver, wish you still had your quarterback?
  13. love ya sweetie. ps- do you like thick onion gravy? Im so confused by this but oh well. Laugh at me for whatever you may think is funny. Oh no. And no i dont think there isnt any compensation, i found the language of 'resigned' quite interesting. Ive read the last 6 pages of this thread, hilarious.
  14. Is this as good as it sounds, he resigned. Damn this is sweet on so many levels. PS Thanks for the email...too bad i was busy and not checking my phone! anyway i love the email even if i checked it late, i need to be more connected than i am. so sweet i got the message... i appreciate that!!!!
  15. Well that was impressive. Great game by all.
  16. "All i do is win championships" :D =D>
  17. The Bears run defense is getting gashed this year, good thing the lions suck at running. Bears pass defense isnt any better but they have a 'slight' excuse playing ATL, NO and GB. No excuse for the carolina game. The dline is basically the same thing as last year minus Tommie and they are just getting pounded between the tackles, they arent blowing up the plays in the backfield either. Bears defense is a huge disappointment so far, especially the dline. Lions oline sucks almost as bad as Bears, i think they will at least get pressure on Stafford this week. If not, they got serious problems.
  18. Whats up with Gould kicking the ball out of the EZ or even deep. During Preseason when lovie said they were going to practice from the 30 because at the 35 Gould could kick it out of the EZ i laughed my ass off. Well, ill be damned. Pretty awesome game to watch. Im liking what im seeing a lot.
  19. Haha "Black Slime". Im pretty sure whatever the technical definition or how it happens cant be any worse sounding than that. Gross. If somebody came into my house and went to the freezer for ice and said i hey 'jackoff you got black slime' id be pretty freaked out and throw it on the curb the next day. That just sounds gross.
  20. I have some anxiety about getting invested in this team. Once again i believe they are a contender but i just dont like the first 3-4 games of season so i am a bit pessimistic. After watching the first 4 games of last years preseason was very down on the defense and bought into the cutler offense needed to carry that team, so wrong for the first half of that season. I really like this defense front 7 and could even expand that to the safties this year. I love Jay Cutler, love his talent, im still hopeful his talent can translate what he did in denver what he should be able to do in Chicago. To me, this is because...well i love Cutlers talent so much, this team is a SB contender with a solid Oline. I would love a win against Atlanta. This would be a great one.
  21. Daniel Manning would 'freelance' too, except his was unintentional. I like this move.
  22. Yeah i have a hard time buying into those tackling #s. I mean Briggs 4th worst and Manning 2nd best, whatever. Manning may makes a tackle...when he can push someone out of bounds or its all jammed up in the middle, but that guy blows tackles by bad angles and not putting his hands on the guy to consider it an attempt. I sure wouldnt trust Manning in the open field. Briggs, well the dude is in all the action, of course guys are going to slip through. No way would i say Briggs is a poor tackler.
  23. I really like the Amobe signing, he should fit this defense really well (i wanted him when he came out of college so i am a bit biased). Gholston is a good pickup too, he didnt do anything at NYJ but that's probably related more to the scheme, he can play left or right end. I still want them to get another guard and now make a play for Asante. Im interested to hear how Carimi performs at camp.
  24. Id be pretty darn happy with a Willie Colon signing. He was rated at the #1 RT in 2009 before his 2010 injury. 28 Y/O is a plus too. If its between Bears, Bills and Hawks i like the Bears chances.
  25. Well im getting old(er), like a lot of the other dudes that were at the beginning of this website. I still recognize a lot of the guys names on this site and im talking like 8 years(thats a long freaking time when it comes to dog internet community board years), thats cool, actually really cool; not a lot of sites can get his type of 'socialisation'. Also, we are all sooo smart now....used to be a lot of discussion about SABR because this forum was a great way to share and get in on all that early metrics 8-) . METRICS? METRICS! Now its like metrics yada yada yada, stuff is all over the internet to get by yourself and i dont need another OPS discussion. I still love the site and a forum for what it is now. I may not come as frequently as the past but i still like visiting and posting.
