  1. Jeff Baker catches that shoulder high line drive. oooh double play. sweet.
  2. Hey there are some witty/fun posts in this game thread. Heres to the fun vacuums not entering.
  3. When Ben was on and on in the 4th is was great entertainment wasnt it. Ill miss him but im not scared about this. I really like Salmons in this offense with Rose. And yeah there is a lot riding on Dengs health. This $11M might of really hurt them getting and keeping Bosh. With Salmons in the fold i think this was worth that risk. If they can get Bosh we are talking big time champ contenders, Gordon + Rose, very good but not the traditional NBA 1-2 frontcourt/backcourt punch.
  4. Good. Im happy. Cant really complain about 2 out of 3.
  5. we have room to breathe but lets not make the air tight.
  6. Lilly brings the element of a lefty, thus a strategic decision too.
  7. Just tell Geo to turn and burn. no opo stuff
  8. Bradley loves walks. He'll flip his bat, clap his hands, really animated about the ball 4.
  9. Randy Wells.....seriously. His stuff isnt off the charts, hell i dont even know if it is on the charts, but he works the zone really well.
  10. Lou with the old 'eff me' as he left thet game. he was right wells was safe.
  11. Has anybody tried using a credit card that is not in the blackout area when signing up? Ive wondered if that works. I too use the feed strategy TT is talking about and its pretty damn close to real time. The quality is still pretty good and i like that i can now get the away feeds instead of listening to the other teams announcers. To me thats worth the premium even though im not using the quality of the stream.
  12. Torre was voted 2nd most popular to play for behind Bobby Cox so he at least had that as a counter to his 'unpopularity'.
  13. Vitters is the guy id like to see firsthand the most. Id like to see his strikezone coverage and also what kind of contact he makes with pitches outside the zone. Normally i like to see the pitchers the most to gauge their stuff but Vitters is an exception for me.
  14. A 6'6 center, isnt Matt Birk the tallest center at 6'4, thats crazy. Not only is that crazy but the most solid position on the Lions oline is center. The Lions are funny.
  15. Fuld in June. 398/474. At least the dude is hot as hell coming up.
  16. I like what this dude does with outside pitches. He'll drive it hard as hell out to RCF and sometime jack it over the wall in LCF.
  17. Im very happy with James Johnson. He can be a real compliment to Rose. He can pass, hit the midrange, put the ball on the floor; three key things for the high pick roll. He can do things outside of that as well. Scouting report also discussed his lower body strength in low post defense, hes not the all over the floor off the ball defender of a Noah or Thomas but those guys got pushed around down low one on one too easily. Gar said they had him as the 5-7th player on their board and were trying to move into the top 10 but couldnt put a deal together.
  18. I don't feel the Castro love, im just kinda eh on him, maybe im missing something. Vitters, Jackson, Cashner, Shark, Rhee are guys i would say im excited about. Vitters is hitting the ball out of the park faster than i thought he would. Cashners control this year is very promising. Lee and Carpentar are interesting, especially Lee and Kevin Hart is becoming interesting again too. Jackson has move up my list the most.
  19. I like the 'freeness' of the Bears discussion in this thread/forum. Some stuff isnt worth a new thread, things intertwine well in here without cluttering. WCF didnt really work for me. Huff. Ran a 4.34 at the combine, Jerry has got to love that. His 1st 2 years at oakland they had him at SS which he is undersized for, last year he was at FS before losing his job in the final 5 games. I would definetly take a flyer at the expense of losing Bullocks.
  20. David Duval...how bout dat. If he didnt lip out that short putt i dont think Glover tees off with a 6 iron on 18. Is David Duval back might be the bigger question than who is Lucas Glover.
  21. Im more concerned with the play of the DE's Brown and Ogun than i am with the WR's. I'll also throw in the safeties before the Wr's. So as position its not at the top of my list because of the addition of Cutler, plus i like Hester.
  22. Trib holding on to 5% is good for Ricketts, thats about $45M of less of his own money or financed money, he was looking for outside investors anyway. Originally Ricketts was also purchasing 25% of the regional cable market, i dont know the value of that or how it affects the total sale price or what the Trib is asking for now. I dont think what is going is an indication that deal is going south.
  23. Id be ok with Hansbrough too. I think he has a nice midrange shot and it will only get better, he didnt really need to use it in college. The midranger is important for the pick and roll with Rose, TH cant put it on the floor very well but either can Brad Miller and Brad is actually a decent fit for this offense because of his midranger. Hansbrough doesnt have the height as Brad but he is better around the basket offensively and rebounding wise. I see Tyler and Noah complimenting each other games in the frontcourt. This team is about Rose and i see Tyler complimenting him well (not as well as Chris Bosh but he aint in the draft :) ). Ellington is another guy i like if available at 26. The guy is really freaking good at shooting off the dribble which is necessary for a SG in the NBA, maybe hes not a uber slashing high flying SG but Rose is going to be breaking the defense down with penetration. Ellington can create his own shot outside, another compliment to Rose's game. Finding guys that work well with Rose and this offense i view as the #1 key element, striclty talent isnt what im looking for.
  24. 85 Bears. Super Bowl Shuffle baby. 89 UM Hoops Repeat Threepeat Bulls. That was glorious, every single one of them. The 1st three more than the 2nd three. 97 UM football Cubs. This is the BIG one. This is will be bigger than Michaels first, which ranks as my #1. Seriously, i think going to WS just might even do that.
