Stuff like this baffles me. Like, how can the manager and coaches AND the FO not act on this very obvious and very easily obtained info. They absolutely must know about it, so....why? It's so interminably meatball-y. The story on this one was Joe approached Heyward about hitting leadoff. Heyward in the past has struggled at leadoff and he believes it’s due to not taking consistent ABs to get into a groove. So he told Joe he would move to leadoff but to be patient - if he struggled out out of the gates he didn’t want to worry about getting a quick trigger or something
