    And our second baseman went 1-2 today while we have a guy toiling away in Triple A with an .857 OPS in Friday home games when the Cubs score first and when he hasn’t abused a woman in 4 days

    It almost makes me angry that #homecubs is once again back in full force after another wet fart of a road trip Happy too, but also angry. There is no [expletive] reason we should be playing like the worst team in baseball on the road and best team in baseball at home. To be fair Davies is so bad we even lit him up for our only good offensive game of the previous trip, but its not like a bunch of cy young candidates just shut us down in the Cardinals series

    Once again more made up SJW spin. You can dislike Russell all you want, but to act like Russell's .798 OPS as a starter this year wouldn't be useful is a wrong as the 2B have gone 5-for-40 and we went 3-7 since he last started. This is beside the actual point but I don't know how I didn't catch this sooner. You are using "Russell's .798 OPS as a starter this year" freely like its a valid stat. .733....that is Russell's OPS this year... 88 OPS+. Stop cherry picking stats

    No approach at all at the plate. In 2016 a lot of these guys wore pitchers out. Not anymore. Overall offense isn’t far off from 2016. 9.7% BB rate this year vs 10.4% then, 101 vs 106 wRC+ now vs then, .328 vs .333 wOBA now vs then. And yet we are somehow languishing around the middle of the league in runs scored

    I just seriously can’t comprehend how a team can look so good hitting for long stretches and so anemic for other stretches. It’s been going on for 2 years now
