  1. Bellinger seems to be in a bit of a slump the last ~10 games or so. His K% has gone up a bit and not walking as much. Seems more like an “ebbs and flow” type of downturn more than a “reverting to 2019-2021” Bellinger.
  2. Looks like we're in for a lengthy delay
  3. The Twins Daily fans are turning on minnesota. He is still posting in their game thread after the Cubs won which is annoying them.
  4. I didnt really watch much of the game (ironically I turned it on one pitch before Morel homered), but just went back and watched Mervis' game tying 2B and that was a really nice piece of hitting. Hopefully giving him consistent ABs is allowing him to settle in and gain some confidence.
  5. 1st and 2nd 0 outs with a 1 run lead in the late innings leads to 0 runs. I’m sure that wont come back to haunt us
  6. I’m sick of getting 2nd and 3rd with 0 outs and only getting a single run on a sac fly. The Cubs set themselves up for so many big innings and then just shoot themselves in the foot repeatedly. 1 run is better than 0 obviously but some of these should be 2+ run innings
  7. Not watching but that looks like an extremely annoying way to give up 2 runs
  8. What if it’s the Vikings that are the reason for being flexed out? 😲 Of course if the Bears are even like 6-5 by that point they’ll surely want to keep a relevant Bears team on the schedule
  9. Also if they get the edge we can bore them into submission by bogging them down with pages of pedantic debate about something extremely trivial. It's your time to shine Kyle!
  10. *Checks the topic* OK right thread for this. From DraftKings, every Bears line this year right now: vs. GB: -2.5 @ TB: -1.5 @ KC: +9.5 vs. DEN: +1.5 @ WAS: +1.5 vs MIN: +1 vs. LV: -1 @ LAC: +5.5 @ NO: +2 vs CAR: +2 (?!?) @ DET: +5 @ MIN: +3.5 BYE vs DET: +1.5 @ CLE: +3.5 vs ARI: -4.5 vs ATL: -2 @ GB: +2 Favored in 5 of 17 games, with 3 of those 5 games favorite due to the 3 points unofficially given to home teams, but 3 of the 12 games we are dogs because of our opponent gets the 3 points.
  11. Matthews is a fine player but I'll take my chances with a guy who is 7 years younger with the potential to reach a higher ceiling. There's risk that he won't of course but given where the Blackhawks are at, there's no way I would even consider it.
  12. Couple of interesting things I saw about the schedule on Twitter: Bears vs. Vikings on MNF, week 12 sounds great. However, the NFL is now doing flex scheduling for MNF starting in....week 12. So very possible the Bears might be shut out of MNF for the entire season if they are flexed out The league almost chose Bears/Chiefs for the opening game but decided the Lions were a slightly better fit due to their strong finish to the season. Apparently that game was moved around quite a bit, from being pegged as the Germany game, to week 1, to week 7 before it settled in week 3.
  13. Out of curiosity, what did the traffic look like going over to NorthsideCubs, and did it rebound after going back up last night? Seemed like things were a little slower these last 7-10 days but now seeing more activity again. I know some friends of mine IRL that are lurkers but know I'm an NSBB lunatic were confused and asked me if the site was gone forever. Hope we didn't lose any momentum in the shift
  14. not bad. As I suspected Chargers game is on SNF. the stretch of one home game between 10/23 and 12/10 seems rough (and once again 3 home games in Dec/Jan), but there’s a bye week in there Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve home games are interesting
  15. I'm reading people saying that Bears @ Chiefs is actually going to be in week 3, not week 7. Doesn't seem like a ton more is going to leak before 6pm
  16. They changed it this year so that some teams can play 2 TNF games
  17. Missing games: vs Arizona vs Atlanta vs. Denver vs. Las Vegas at Chargers at Saints at Buccaneers If we're looking at a potential SNF game (they have to have a SNF game right?!?! Chicago, Justin Fields, etc) I guess at Chargers is the best bet. Doesn't seem like any of the remaining homes have SNF appeal.
  18. Bears also have a second TNF game in Week 10 at home vs. Carolina. So lame. Hopefully the final night game is a Sunday Night Game. Would be weird to be shut out the entire season from SNF, especially with a marketable QB
  19. Just added thanks. I also read that the Bears will have 4 prime time games and only 2 announced so far. Let’s see if we continue our tradition of having 3 road prime time games for ever 1 home prime time game
  20. Take with a grain of salt but some other potentially leaked Bears games I’ve seen from other teams. I'll add the Packers games too in order to track the schedule in its entirety. I realize we'll get all this info at 6 but I'm a dork that likes to put this together lol. The ones with stars next to them are leaks from legit people. Week 1 - vs. Green Bay* Week 3 - @ Kansas City Week 5 - @ Washington (TNF)* Week 6 - vs Minnesota* Week 10 - vs Carolina (TNF pt 2) Week 11 - @ Detroit Week 12 - @ Minnesota (MNF)* Week 14 - vs. Detroit Week 15 - @ Cleveland Week 18 - @ Green Bay* Edit 1: Seeing a few more leaks, adding Chiefs and Lions games
  21. Last time that happened was 2006 👀 Never thought I'd see the day when the Lions were a prime time season opening team.
  22. Ahh I see we’re doing the whole “get a weeks worth of runs in one game so our overall numbers look good” thing
  23. Booo the 2 ER or less streak ends for Steele
