  1. Not sure when he’ll completely slow down, his body has started to break down a little from when he was nearly indestructible early on. He’s fallen to top 10 player status with the ability to look like the top guy on occasion. Either way he will play at least 2 more years so he can play with his son which is actually pretty cool as long as Bronny actually deserves to be in the NBA and is not being forced onto a roster to satisfy LeBron
  2. Who here is claiming they wanted him to remain with the Cubs? Still makes us look bad if we cut a dude and he puts up a 3 win season immediately after. He's at 0.9 fWAR now btw. He also had a 0.9 fWAR with the Cubs last season in a similar number of games, but most of that value was defensive last year and this year its mostly offensive.
  3. horsefeathering Newcastle. Playing at home against Leicester, they put up 23 shots, hit the post 4 times, had 83% possession and scored 0 goals. Net result is a 0-0 draw that clinches a top 4 finish for them. A Newcastle win would have made it so Everton was safe with a draw and no Leeds win by more than 2 goals but oh well...at least Everton controls their own destiny at home against a lower table Bournemouth.
  4. Coby was pulled for Beverly right after Butler hit the shot (and got fouled) with 2:17 left. For some reason being down 1, potentially 2, with 2:17 left was the optimal time to remove our best shooter that game for a guy who can't score. Drummond was removed for Caruso with 8:27 left as the Bulls took (I think) their biggest lead of the game at 6 points. Masterclass by Donovan
  5. The Bulls might have changed the course of basketball history by losing after Coby White hit a 3 to put the Bulls up by 3 with 3:45 left in an elimination game vs Miami. This Heat team that is 1 win from the Finals was 3:45 away from not even qualifying for the playoffs.
  6. Have you seen the weather forecast this week? No one will care enough to boo that loudly
  7. Typical Cubs score 10 runs in the first game and 3 runs combined the next 2
  8. 6-16 in their last 22 if they don’t come back. I don’t think Jed’s spending was all that intelligent
  9. The Cubs are 3-12 on the road since sweeping the A’s
  10. Can we cancel the rest of the games and just watch Morel crush dingers?
  11. Taillon finishes the day with an 8.10 ERA for the season. Luckily only 6 of the 8 runs were earned
  12. 7 starts into the season Taillon has yet to go beyond 5 IP (unless he manages to exceed that today), and has only allowed less than 3 ER once. i still have hope for a turnaround - too much track record of being decent - but clearly he’s not right and whatever they are doing to get him on track is not working
  13. Could really use his -0.7 WAR this year 😂
  14. Happy Saturday everyone (except Jameson Taillon) season ERA now at 7.92
  15. I agree but I don’t want to be banned
  16. Well it’s official, either the team with the longest run at the top of English football or a team with a Prem league title in the last decade are going down (or both) oh and Man City are premier champions again. Great performance Arsenal lol
  17. The Cubs won their 7th straight game against the Phillies last night which is kind of hilarious. Now a Cubs starter with a demonic ERA is facing a much better starter, albeit one who has looked mortal this spring
  18. The new plan is to not start game threads until after the game starts.
  19. What if they made the whole team out of Morels
  20. I know they scored 4 runs in the inning but 1st and 2nd 0 outs with the heart of the order due up and the pitcher on the ropes, not scoring again is a disappointment.
  21. I was going to look that up, seems like every time when I settle in to watch the Cubs are losing. Wow Madrigal really did it, Cubs up 2-1 and still 0 outs
  22. 2 on with 0 outs, lets see how this works out for the Cubs
