  1. Terrible. I have apple TV+ but its so annoying to access these games, feels like a burden lol
  2. Don't know much about him but ok. Had 6.5 sacks in 2021 which would have been 2.5 more than any Bear last year. Only 62 PFF grade last year
  3. Why won't you let us dream of an age 31 breakout year for Wisdom?
  4. When considering tanking remember the Bulls also don’t have their 2025 1st. Obviously it has protections but there’s a decent chance you lose it. Zach may have managed to rebuild his value and even improve on it after how he’s finished the season. I don’t necessarily want to tank but strongly consider trying to see what you can get for Zach, DeMar and Caruso. The problem is Vucevic, Coby White and Ayo (who has cratered anyways) are 3 additional guys who could bring back worthwhile returns but they are all FA so it would have to be S&T. if they decide to keep going (and they will) I’m really not sure what you do. They keep talking about resigning Vuc which seems ridiculous as it locks them into being a team bumping up against the tax and also leans you let Coby and Ayo go and bring back an even worse team. But if you S+T him what moves are you going to make to get better than a Bulls team with Vuc? This team has legit purposely put themselves in inescapable NBA hell and seems to be proud of it. Only hope is we lose in the play-in and luck into Wemba (currently a 2.2% chance)
  5. Just hate losing good homegrown offensive players every year. It would be the 4th year in a row (Schwarber after 2020, Rizzo/Javy/Bryant during 2021, Contreras after 2022). I realize this is more of an emotional response than a pragmatic one though.
  6. Obviously its only 5 games but Happ is starting the season off well (7-16 with 3 XBH and 7 BB). Have to wonder if the Cubs are going to regret not extending him. get that he'll be 29 when he heads into FA and I have no idea what Happ was asking for compared to what Jed was offering, but it would suck to have to deal Happ or lose him for nothing. I could be way off but I just don't see Jed letting Happ get to FA and then resigning him in the open market.
  7. Damn I just realized we're off tomorrow, so 2 days off and then back to Wrigley.
  8. Still kind of imbalanced though. 12-14 games against divisional opponents and 6-7 against intraleague opponents (I don't think that changed at all did it?). The interleague is somewhat balanced though.
  9. You have to request access to social for the time being. it will eventually be made public. Brock usually sees these quickly and will add you. Yeah there's no preview anymore, but most of the stuff that you would use preview for on the old forum are embedded into the text box here. Like if you paste a twitter link it automatically embeds it into the message you are composing, if you try to quote, it creates the quote box, etc.
  10. Yeah it looks pretty crappy all day. Getting the same 3 straight days of thunderstorms and rain that we are getting.
  11. Yeah Jerry has done a good job providing (expensive) food and drink options to distract us from the mediocre product he puts on the court.
  12. One of these things is not like the other...
  13. I'm extremely proud of this board for going through an entire ITYSL game thread without posting the "We're all trying to find the guy who did this" gif. It's like we all knew there was going to be a long run and we're waiting for the perfect time to use it.
  14. Blackhawks 3 minutes away from a devistating win against the Flames. I'm starting to sound like that whats his face twitter dude (edit: Jamfan) but Chicago sports are doomed to mediocrity as a ceiling
  15. And shocker they lost by double digits. They are now virtually locked into the 10 seed unless they win out and the Raptors and/or Hawks lose out. RIP JR’s playoff revenue
  16. But its still contact! - Jed probably
  17. I can't believe we're 4.5 games into the season and I'm already in apathetic mode. Obviously lots of baseball to play but my interest is waning quickly.
  18. Starting to think Everton might actually survive as well, though Leeds is in a considerably better position of course. They've played much better with Dyche in charge (12 points in 9 games after 2 points in the last 9 games of Lampard's tenure), though they still can't score worth a damn. Sad to say that I've been an Everton fan for quite awhile but I've become such a bigger fan the last 2 years with these relegation battles. Being mid-table without much chance of breaking into the top 4 was ok, but feels like every match now is super meaningful as is scoreboard watching other teams. Certainly don't *want* to be in a relegation battle, but its added some excitement.
  19. Reminder of the stakes tonight...if the Bulls win, they tie the Hawks in the standings for the 9 seed with 3 to play and clinch the tiebreaker over Atlanta. They also clinch a potential 3 team tiebreaker with both Atlanta and Toronto (but lose the tiebreak to just Toronto) for the 8 seed which is the true prize. Thus if they win tonight and the Raptors somehow lost to the hapless Hornets, the Bulls would end the night in the 8 seed. Also of note: Trae Young and DeAndre Hunter are both out tonight. Which would normally be a good thing but it would be very Bulls to lose anyways.
  20. Oh look Wisdom is in the lineup:
  21. Kap is reporting that Bears/Chiefs is going to be in Germany next year. Pretty sweet
  22. getting X-rays but he stayed in the game and what was the EV on that hit in the 9th?
  23. He had solid numbers last year and finished the last 2 months very strong. I can’t remember his contract but I don’t think he was ridiculously expensive. So I get why the Cubs would be interested in bringing him back, especially with Hendricks not being ready to start the season and young guys like Steele and Wesneski not fully established yet. But looking at his career numbers it was far from a sure bet that he’d be a solid starter (and of course only 1 regular season start so can’t draw conclusions quite yet)
