My favorite part of their mini-run is when they hung Eloy's jersey (signed by the team) and batting gloves up in the dugout like he had died or something after one of his many injuries. -

I'm assuming the remaining SOS is also based on 2023 performance rather than W-L record right? Because Tankathon also tracks remaining SOS but bases it purely on W-L record and they show that the Cubs have the 19th hardest remaining SOS at .494 and 3 NL teams having easier remaining SOS (Atlanta at .490, Cincinnati at .489 and Milwaukee at .485)

One more cool factoid from the last 2 days: If it wasn’t for Patrick Wisdom going 0-2 tonight, every single Cubs hitter that came to the plate the last 2 nights would have had a hit. 21 different Cubs hitters came to the plate, 20 of them had at least 1 hit

Dammit, I can't figure out if its a good thing that 4 of the 6 teams in contention for the WC are playing each other right now or not. I guess with all the teams still in front of us its good to know you gain ground on 2 of them tonight.

Actually thats true. Happ for some reason gets 90% of his production for the year against the Reds, Brewers, Pirates and Adam Wainwight.

Reds decided it really wasn't fair that the Cubs couldn't get those runs home from 2nd and 3rd with 0 outs and decided to gift them.
