  1. Fred, I think it's just me and you in here....
  2. ERROR ON STUPID IDIOT Rnny Ceen who has no business being in the major leagues
  3. I agree with the thread today. Ronny Cedeno sucks....
  4. HEY IDIOT CHICK! YOU ARENT AT A WHITE SOX GAME TAKE OFF THE STUPID SHIRT. I'm sick of seeing that. I have no problem with fans wearing jerseys at the home team game and sometimes around the city, but wearing an unrelated team's jersey to the game is just dumb and makes you look like a moran.
  5. If it keeps going this way, I might walk down to the park, buy a ticket, and do it myself.
  6. I'm starting to lose my faith in Aardsma after every bad outing
  7. Welcome! It's a place for Cubs fans to congregate and discuss whats going on in the game with each other. I guess its for people who are watching alone, or with people who aren't as knowledgeable in baseball. Sometimes people provide updates, but obviously updates are always updated on other sites like espn.com
  8. Is anyone NOT convinced that Rusch is no longer a major league caliber pitcher?
  9. Sounds interesting, I'll give it a try
  10. Can't believe no one has posted pictures to prove that hes not a Cub anymore: http://d.yimg.com/us.yimg.com/p/ap/20060822/capt.246d9fe8855f42ebb231e04b3841bb3c.white_sox_tigers_baseball_dts108.jpg?x=380&y=281&sig=_bHYruxDe8cmCSFLgIFxgQ--
  11. Looking at the prospects that were traded away while making a pennant push in 2003 and 2004 Ray Sadler (traded to the Pirates in 2003 for Randall Simon) Currently playing for AAA Indianapolis. His season numers: .186/.265/.271/.536 Had a cup of coffee during September callups last year. Had 8 AB, 2 H, 1 HR, 1 RBI http://www.thebaseballcube.com/players/S/Ray-Sadler.shtml Enmanuel Ramires (traded to the Rockies in 2003 for Tony Womack) Strangely enough his now 26 year old pitcher is no where to be found on Baseball Cube or MILB.com. He must have since departed baseball after the humiliation of being traded for Womack. This is what the Cub Reporter had to say after he was traded: Mike Nannini (traded to the Marlins along with Hee Seop Choi for Derrek Lee) Currently in the Mariners organization with AAA Tacoma. This is his third team this year as he has also spent time in the Reds and Tigers organiations. Here are his season numbers at AAA: 0-0 10.00 ERA 9 G 9.0 IP 9 BB 7K 2.56 WHIP He is now 26 years old and has never appeared in a major league game. http://www.thebaseballcube.com/players/N/Mike-Nannini.shtml Wilton Chavez (traded to the Expos for Jose Macais) As many of you know, Wilton is back in the Cubs organization, pitching for the AAA Iowa Cubs. Here are his numbers: 2-2 4.58 ERA 10 G 19.2 IP 9 BB 12 K 1.32 WHIP Chavez has never been up to the majors. Jose Macais should never again. http://www.thebaseballcube.com/players/C/Wilton-Chavez.shtml Steve Smyth (traded with Juan Cruz to the Braves for Andy Pratt) Looks like Steve is currently out of baseball. He last pitched in the A's organization in 2005, getting beat up on their AAA team. His only appearence in the major leagues came before this trade, in 2002 with the Cubs. As we know he went 1-3 with a 9.35 ERA in 7 ill fated starts with the Northsiders that year before starting the next in the minors. http://www.thebaseballcube.com/players/S/Steve-Smyth.shtml That's all I feel like doing right now (gotta get back to work :)) Several more interesting prospects to update including: -Justin Jones (Nomar) -Brendan Harris (Nomar) -Andy Pratt (Ben Grieve) -Francis Beltran (Nomar) -Dave Noyce (Damian Miller) -Gary Johnson (Damian Miller) -Matt Bruback (Aramis/Lofton) -Jason Fransz (Doug Glanville)
  12. I don't understand. Neifi doesn't respect rookies? Maybe he means respect from the umpires? I know Clemens got quite a few 'veteran's calls' in that game.
  13. Next few weeks? Isn't the date for adding players that will be on the playoff roster August 31?
  14. Also, I can't believe no one mentioned his admission that he corked his bat! :)
  15. As the Tigers are about to find out. Watch him pull a Maddux on us not grounf out to the 2B every at bat Well yesterday wasn't a great start. 0-4, first 2 outs were made on the first pitch, in all he swung at every first pitch and his last AB he grounded into a double play.
  16. Maybe he should for our comic relief Fake edit: Do it with Z
  17. Watching the game on mlb.tv--the fight started with the manager pushing the player in the tunnel to the clubhouse, players and coaches needed to break them up. Update, story nw up on ESPN website. Time to forgive Shea Hillenbrand?
  18. Why? Traded to the Tigers for Neifi Perez Good move, it saved the Cubs some money and still landed a catching prospect. Thanks Jim Hendry! That catching prospect has 3 hits tonight by the way, including a double and 3 rbi's for Daytona. Very good! Imagine if Hendry ended up getting a 8 time All-Star catcher for Neifi? Yes, life will be good again! Yeah we all know Hendry isn't that good. I'm a bit late and I'm sure someone has mentioned but Hernandez for Ramirez?
  19. Grounder to SS, 2 runs score. Thats my Cubs
  20. LOL did Burrell not test Jacque only to see Jones 5 hop the ball?
  21. How many times do I need to see a Cubs LF misplay a ball before I go insane?
  22. Said by a fan of a team who thought Todd Hollandsworth was their LF solution last year. Never said the Cubs weren't idiots too - they seem to be planning on going into next year with a Cedeno-Izturis middle infield  Dude, they are fast and they drive in runs with their glove, whats your beef?
  23. Details plz! I have the volume down. :) Paraphrasing Len: Neifi 0 for 3 tonight in his debut for the Tigers Bob: How many pitches do you think he saw in those at bats Len: ....not a lot probably Bob: Laughs
