  1. Didn't mean to rip on you, but I've never ever heard of someone being both a Cubs/Cards fan. And that comes from someone that lives in split territory for most of the year. If the Cubs/Cards rivalry isn't a "rivalry," I don't know what is. Recent years, yes. I'm not so caught up in it, as I follow both. And my sympathy always lies with the underdog, which started out as the Cards this year, and has now swerved to the Cubs. BTW, I'm also a Hawks/Bulls fan and a Rams/Cardinals fan. I suppose you're also a Bears/Packers fan and Lakers/Celtics as well Michigan and Ohio State both look good this year huh?

You must be an old timer if you still have allegiance to the old St. Louis Hawks :)
  3. So you're not an actual fan k I guess I'm not. Not in your frame of reference. I don't live and die with either team. My sympathy's right now are with the Cubs. It's hard to watch sometimes (like this series) Don't get on my case because you can't understand my way of thinking. I never got on you for yours. Joke account. The avatar says it all. You can't be serious. I don't know what that means. I could'nt figure out how to put a personal one on so I chose the green girl cuz nobody else was using it. Just trying to be distinctive. But you get on me because I'm not in with the NSBB clique of team bashers. Since I'm not die hard (and new around here) you are threatened I guess. I'm supposed to type in hahahahahahaha every time Miles K's like you? Do your thing. Not gonna lie, that was a good comeback lol Well, as long as you aren't a diehard Cardinals fan, you are no douchebag in my book. I don't understand your way of fandom but I respect it. Personally rivalry is what makes sports great and allows team sports to connect one year with the next, one generation with the next. As much as it sucks feeling crappy because some hick white trash losers from So. Ill/Missouri are laughing at our misfortune and celebrating their idiot team being good, its part of rivalry. It was just as fun watching us stomp all over the Cardinals the last few years, so you live with the good and bad. The sad thing is as a Cubs fan its been mostly bad, but I'd still rather live another 100 years without a Cubs World Series title than live one hour as a Cardinals fan. You know how many showers it would take to wash that stink off?
  4. We're getting pity cheers from douchebag Cardinals fans? Ouch.
  5. I can see the headline now: "Little used rookie spark plug demands trade from Cubs. 'Send me to Washington, send me back to AAA, whatever' says scrappy little grit machine.
  6. Sweet, 3 runs in the first 3 games of the series.
  7. I almost hope Theriot does tie it to see how the IF is configured after all these PHs
  8. He'll fall rounding 3rd base and get tagged out while on his back. I could see him rounding there and falling and then him shrugging his shoulders and not bothering to get up while he gets tagged for the final out.
  9. Dude Soriano can't figure out stuff like that. He's a pure guess hitter. He took the 2-0 pitch, probably because he was expecting a breaking pitch, then he thought since he didn't swing at that one, the pitcher would go back to another breaking pitch.
  10. If he wouldn't have checked all the way at that ball in the dirt it would have ended like it.
  11. Jake Fox is going to hit it 349593 feet.
  12. Sweet...Miles is going to be the final out.
  13. Dammit, I wanted to see Manny up with the bases loaded.
  14. OK, we'll know who to ban from the site after the Cubs turn their season around with a 3 run 9th inning comeback started by the Baker, Soto, Miles part of the order.
  15. lol, well played right side of Cubs IF.
  16. Couldn't even take advantage of a dropped fly ball in the sun that led to 2nd and 3rd with 1 out. Very nice. That's 3 runs in our last 30 innings. An average of 1 run every 10 innings played, or 0.90 RPG.
  17. I'm allergic. I was swarmed once and stung 20 times (17 on the testicles, no lie). I almost died. Do I even want to ask why the bees targeted your testicles? I've never been swarmed and I'm not even allergic. I am just petrified of bees. Like, I could be hitting on the hottest girl that's ever lived and making good progress with her, but if a bee flew by, I'd start screaming like a girl and run away, temporarily forgetting that I'm trying to impress a girl.
  18. I'd say its up there mostly because by not slowing down he assured himself of flying full speed into the wall and if he did slow down he wouldn't have gotten it. He caught it, fell to his knees and faceplanted on the chainlink fence.
  19. I don't even want to know what you have to do now that you lost. You were probably so sure of winning you had that second girl driving over already didnt you?
  20. You think any of the Cubs players could spray something that attracts bees all over Aaron Miles and pull it off as a prank?
