    Cheering for the Dodgers, but I'm gonna guess Cardinals take this in 4. Randy Wolf starting game 1? The Dodgers remind me of the Cubs last year. They have a lot of good starting pitching, but no dominant ace you can count on. The Cardinals unfortunately have 2. The Dodgers have a lot of good hitting, but with Manny not as strong as last year's Manny they don't have one hitter that you fear greatly. I guess you could argue Manny is that hitter now that I think about it, but I still don't think he strikes as much fear as he did last year.

    They don't seem to care right now...Orton has proven capable enough to run their offense it seems. I bet most would tell you they'd rather have Orton than Cutler. Cutler has been awesome the last 3 games, but he's had 3 game stretches of awesomeness in the past only to see a leveling off. I think Cutler is legit and what he shows is an improvement over last year, but the jury is still out a bit.

    What did they have to montage? I don't know they had one for 2006, and I can't remember one memorable moment after April of that year except sweeping the Cardinals in a 4 game series in July.

    On the topic of streaks ending, it's quite sad that Adam Dunn was unable to hit 40 HRs this year.

    Jay Cutler is on pace for 32 TDs this year. And while he's also on pace for 20 INT's, he's only had 1 INT since the first game.

    Now, that's not all bad, is it ?? Nope. But early season Hawks games don't have the same intensity. Definitely more than the last month of Cubs baseball but still.

    With the Cubs done and the Bears with their bye week, I have nothing but Hawks games to look forward to for 2 weeks.

    So basically you mean that Marmol didn't pitch up to his talent because he was pouting about not being closer, and then when named closer he stepped up his game?

    So you're a fan of 3 of the last 4 Bears teams? (the 06 team only scored 46 but you know they were capable of 48 easily)

    I think Derrek Lee was trying to pull an Andre Dawson there (homer in his final AB of the year).

    Like I said in last week's thread, Peter King named him his defensive POY one week. When was he cut? And for who? I know that Chris Harris played great last year too. I didn't blame the Bears for cutting him, but his talent really emerged last year. I didn't like that the Bears traded Chris Harris for a 4th rounder (I think it was a 4th rounder) in 2007. We gave up on him too early. McGowan I didn't mind...he was always getting hurt and never made a huge impact. I think we cut him just before the start of this season.

    I can't believe Bears Postgame Live isn't going to be on until after the Cubs game. Not even on CSN+ I can't believe I'd rather watch a bears postgame show then the last 3 innings of Cubs baseball for the year.

    This WAS the Vikings game last year...except the Lions couldn't hold up their end in the second half.
