  1. So D-Lee's OPS is up to .942 for the season. If he keeps it at this level, he'll have the highest season OPS for a Cub player with at least 150 AB since.....Derrek Lee's 2005 season. The last player besides Lee to have a +.942 OPS was ARam in 2004. He's also projected to have 36 HRs at years end. If he gets above 33, he'll have the most HRs by a Cubs player since ARam's 38 in 2006.
  2. See? No one is bitching about how bad the Big 12 is. Kstate barely beats a D-1AA team, and OU loses to a less talented (but pretty decent) BYU team, albeit without their heisman QB. But if the Big 10 does those things its, "LOL THE BIG TEN SUXXX! WORST BCS CONFERENCE" That's because the Big Ten is terrible. It's not the worst BCS conference though. I saw people suggesting that they should be stripped of being a BCS conference. Most conferences had close calls/lost to inferior schools today. The Big 10 is what it is, and today's results shouldn't have revealed anything about the conference.
  3. so he's going to miss part of the season and their chances of winning a title are almost gone. wonder if he's wishing he'd gone pro. Probably not, as he would be on the Lions. i'm sure he will end up going to a great team after this season. Yeah but would you rather goto the Chiefs, or the LIONS? It's the fricken Lions

  5. Yeah, maybe I'm just used to Judd's overreacting to every thing that happens, but that didn't seem any more outrageous than his other calls. If anything, he was able to tame his enthusiasm there. I'm used to a 2 outs bases empty situation in a 4-0 game.... "and here's the 1-1 pitch, and...HE SWINGS AND MISSES!!! STRIKE 2! WHAT A PITCH RIGHT THERE"
  6. Great, less revenue for the Cubs. The Ricketts are going to drive the Cubs into the ground.
  7. Yeah there's only 1 TE since they cut Jason Davis, so if Gaines is the kinda blocker they say he is, he might be able to fill in at FB. I'm sure that's what they were thinking.
  8. WMU is making up for not having any 3rd down conversions for almost the whole first half.
  9. Yeah yeah, I was setting myself up by that. What I meant was, now that I've seen they likely aren't as bad as last year (last year's team would have lost to this WMU team), with a somewhat easy schedule I can see 8 possible wins from the team. But I guess it is quite a bit overboard because its one damn half of football. If I watched random isolated halfs of Michigan football last year I would have thought they were a lot better than they were (the first half of Penn State game comes to mind)
  10. That's the Sheridan I remember. Completely inaccurate throws 90% of the time. How did this guy play well enough in camp to earn a share of the QB job?
  11. Not to go overboard over a half of a game against Western Michigan, but now that I've seen them play...I can see 8 wins out of Michigan this year. Likely wins over W. Mich, E. Mich, Indiana, Purdue, Del. State, Possible wins over ND, Purdue, Winnable games against Illinois and Iowa, and you never know against Ohio State.
  12. It's not even halftime yet. When is the last time Michigan has been able to destroy a non-BCS conference team (including ND)? 2006? In 2007, they lost to App State, and then beat Eastern Michigan but only by 11 points (33-22) In 2008, we beat Miami (OH) by 10 and lost to Toledo. So yeah, it's been 3 seasons since we've been able to just destroy a non-BCS conference lightweight. And to think I thought this game would go down to the wire.
  13. Baseball season’s almost over Well you better get ready for a scrub filled order Hey, Chicago, what do you say The Cubs are gonna play hard today. They’re singing … Go, Cubs, go Go, Cubs, go Hey, Chicago, what do you say The Cubs are gonna play hard today Go, Cubs, go Go, Cubs, go Hey, Chicago, what do you say The Cubs are gonna play hard today. They got no power, they got no speed They're a .500 team in the National League Well it's been proven that the Cubs can't field So watch out for errant balls at Wrigley Field. We’re singing now … Go, Cubs, go Go, Cubs, go Hey, Chicago, what do you say The Cubs are gonna play hard today Go, Cubs, go Go, Cubs, go Hey, Chicago, what do you say The Cubs are gonna play hard today. Baseball time is almost gone It was almost as stupid as this song So stamp your feet and clap your hands Chicago Cubs got a lot of angry fans. You’re singing now … Go, Cubs, go Go, Cubs, go Hey, Chicago, what do you say The Cubs are gonna play hard today Go, Cubs, go Go, Cubs, go Hey, Chicago, what do you say The Cubs are gonna play hard today. This Michigan game is very boring (in a good way)
  14. Well Lee was 6-11 with 3 doubles and a 1.402 OPS in the playoffs last year, the only time when him being good would have mattered. Of course Fukudome was garbage, but who knows how well he would have done this year in a 3 game sample size of the playoffs.
  15. Hey guys, guess what? The Cubs won. Oh, and welcome back Michigan. And by "back" I mean into a 6-7 win team hopefully.
  16. Alright everyone over to Syracuse/Minnesota
  17. Yeah UNI didn't deserve to win this....2 blocked FGs in a row? Geez
  18. LOL!!!!
  19. Sorry Iowa fans, just let them kick it...it would make for amazing Sportscenter discussion.
  20. I don't get it...what harm could have Iowa have had if they had touched the ball, regardless of it was before or after the line of scrimmage?
  21. They must have all had money on Northern Iowa :)
  22. Oh my....so if one of Iowa's guys had touched the ball instead of backing away from it, it would have been Iowa's ball correct? What a bonehead move. I had no idea what the rules were...I don't think they did either.
  23. He looked pretty good in those highlights but he was lighting up a 3rd string defense. Rex could be adequate or even slightly above average with a good offensive line and at least one go to receiver.
  24. Buckner gets his revenge on the Mets. Seriously that was exactly like Buckner except for he actually got a little piece of that
