If history is any guide, they'll be greeted with apathy more than anything else. I remember numerous games towards the end of 2006 with empty seats and quiet fans. Well, the 2006 team wasn't expected to do crap. This team was and has failed beyond belief. Maybe the expectations weren't super high but there were expectations for that team. Until Derrek Lee went down we were doing ok. Not saying we would have been much better but there were a lot of injuries that year. It reminds me a little bit of how our starting staff keeps getting injured. I think we saw 17 starting pitchers that year....Mateo, Marmol, Ryu, Walrond, Marshall, Maddux, Zambrano, Hill, Guzman, Prior, Wood, O'Malley, Jerome Williams, Wade Miller, Rusch...I'm probably missing a few.
