They've looked really good at times this year, and other times downright awful. One game in the last 5 days, they should be well rested and flying all over the ice. The only thing that makes me not overreact is that we went through a similar lackadaisical period 2 years ago in March when everyone was bagging on the goaltender, and the Hawks were struggling against mediocre to bad teams. Certainly got out of that hole. Niemi just put it together for us. Be honest. Is Crawford going to do the same? I don't think the goalie was the only reason why we were slumping that march, nor is Niemi stepping up the only reason we had better results the rest of the season, but he was a big part sure. Crawford had stretches last season where he stepped up, so I don't see why not.
