  1. And Mr. O'Sullivan had a 2 game stretch in 2008 where he put up the following: 36-55, 510 yards, 3 TD, 0 INT, 113.4 QBR 12 rushes, 64 yards
  2. Wow....in 2005 Josh McCown had a game where he put up the following line: 32-46, 385 yards, 2 TD, 0 INT, 109.4 QBR 6 rushes, 32 yards
  3. This. I'm gonna say the guy with a ROY award and multiple All Star appearances is better known. OK, perhaps I should have said "more well known to NL Central fans." As for two all-star appearances, I don't think most people realize that -- lots of players make the all star game now. And, frankly, I already forgot he won the Rookie of the Year because, well, I don't really care. The Oakland A's live in near complete anonymity anyway. So what you mean is we should specify Homer Bailey instead of Andrew Bailey because Homer is well known to you. I mean he won ROY just 2 years ago and made 2 of the last 3 all star games and has been one of the premier young pitchers in baseball. Last year was a down year but the previous 2 years he pitched in 115 games and had an ERA of 1.70. I would think anyone who paid enough attention to baseball to have 5000 posts on a baseball related board would immediately think Andrew Bailey when they see "Reds and A's discussing Bailey". I can understand reading it and saying "hmmm which Bailey?" but not "Oh Homer Bailey is going to Oakland?"
  4. They just did a rundown of their guests for the next hour + and I didn't hear Theo's name. Wherever Theo goes, he is the host. lol
  5. I was just thinking about this...the Bears season has eerily mirrored the Texans season this year. -Both teams started out with impressive blowout victories over 2010 playoff teams (yeah I know Colts without manning, but some people still thought they'd be decent) -Struggled afterwards with some of the better teams in the league, which bumped down their perception. For Houston it was Saints, Raiders and Ravens, for the Bears it was Saints, Packers, Lions. -Both then went on winning streaks in which they dominated the competition. Bears dominated MIN, TB (though late comeback made it close), DET and SD (with a close game against PHI). Texans dominated TEN, CLE, and TB (with a close game against JAX). -Then, with both sitting at 7-3, playing their best football and finally gaining respect from everyone, they both lose their QBs, who are both essential pieces to the offense, for a long time. What does this mean? Absolutely nothing. I just thought it was an interesting comparison.
  6. Dammit Devin...you couldnt have finished that kick return?
  7. This. I'm gonna say the guy with a ROY award and multiple All Star appearances is better known.
  8. I prefer O'Sullivan between those 2 due to his experience with the bears as well as with Martz. That said, I hope he never has to see the field.
  9. Sounds like it'll be announced soon. I think that's a good fit for him. Agreed. I don't think he's necessarily a bad coach, just not a good fit at Michigan. Started out on the wrong foot and just kept going down from there.
  10. Top ten in most defensive categories except for defending against child molestation. Yeah I went there and already feel bad about it.
  11. Wish he was on the Rangers a month earlier
  12. Kinda funny that Michigan was either going to play the team they played in the first round of last years NCAAs or the team they played in the second round. Duke it is. Michigan always seems to play Dule well a majority of the time, so hopefully that continues. Wins over Memphis and Duke on a neutral court will look awesome come March.
  13. I heard Cutler was seen last night hitchhiking. If he can put his thumb up to hitchhike the wuss should be able to play QB. Weird, there were reports that Cutler was seen thumb wrestling any and all challengers at Hub 51 last night and was heard loudly boasting "I've got a month of vacation coming up, let's get drunk!"
  14. Nothing like a broken thumb to make you realize you cant live without someone.
  15. Apparently according to twitter, Jay is engaged with whatsherface again. Eventul day for him.
  16. Zach Zaidman on 670. Said Cutler had thumb looked over extensively by several specialists and is reporting that the Bears got the best possible news given the situation. Last night there was fear that he was going on IR. after tests today they are now going forward confident that Cutler will be back for AT LEAST the playoffs. The plan now is actually or Cutler to be back for the last regular season game against Minnesota and if absolutely nothing goes wrong week 16 against GB is not completely out of the question. All in all, great news.
  17. I'm sure they will happily live with Hanie Tebow
  18. I understand the argument. That's the downside of a conference title game however. I respect the argument that H2H trumps all but if you really dive into their resumes it looks closer than you'd think. Michigan beat 2 teams that blew MSU out this year, while MSU also beat the other team Michigan lost to. Both teams basically have 2 quality wins, Neb and ND for UM and UM and Wisconsin for MSU. Looking at the H2H game, although I will admit MSU clearly outplayed Michigan, UM was in the red zone hoping to tie late in the 4th quarter on the road in that game, so the game was closer than the final score indicated IMO. Anyways like I said, I respect the H2H trumps all argument so if that's your belief, it's understandable. But the resumes are very close, and with the season ending in a loss for MSU, it pushes MSU behind Michigan.
  19. What play was it? That's so odd because everyone else is saying it was on the int return and it kinda looks like it if you watch the replay. We're they reporting as fact or just speculating on when it might have occurred? If that is when he injured it, I definitely makes me wonder why he can't play. He made some really nice throws in the 2nd half, which was his better and more accurate half of throwing the ball. I'm sure adrenaline helped mask the pain, but shouldn't be enough to overcome that sort of injury.
  20. In non-Cutler news, I didn't realize this but apparently Hester did not play any offense in the game. Interesting, even if its probably because he's been banged up lately.
  21. Don't worry, if Cutler doesn't break his thumb forcing that guy out of bounds, he probably scores and it's a 4-point game. The game then changes completely and we easily could have lost. He died a hero. Or the turf doesnt suck so Knox doesnt fall and gets a 7 yard completion in a drive the Bears eventually convert to a TD, giving an 18 point win to the increasingly dangerous Chicago Bears.
  22. A shitty thing about this is that Soldier Field's turf, which our own players constantly bitch about, indirectly caused this to happen. Knox slips and falls on his route leading to an INT, which leads to Cutler's injury.
  23. Nice, Michigan ends up at 15th in the BCS. Need to jump one more spot to be eligible. With Georgia playing LSU/BAMA/ARK in the SEC title game, it seems likely that GA is the team UM jumps (unless of course they lose to Ohio St). However, Wisconsin and Clemson are right behind them, and with Wisconsin possibly having wins over Penn State and Michigan State over the next 2 weeks, and Clemson with possible wins over VA and VT, they could both jump Michigan with ease. It should be interesting.
  24. I hope so. How awesome would it be to have Jay coming back to play in the Wild Card round?
