  1. This is becoming an Insight Bowl tradition for Iowa isnt it? Maybe this will propel them to victory this year as well.
  2. ok, i can get through this. Bulls and Blackhawks, you must at least get to your sports championship round for the next 3-4 years. Bears, you must add something new and exciting each year so that I can get excited to watch youtube videos of you practicing during training camp. The only gap I will have is from ~June 15-July 15th when bears camp starts. Then it will be mild excitement until the first week of September. Thankfully, I've had practice with pretending that sports don't exist from June to September the last couple of years. Can't wait to see what attedance is like in September next year. (all this said, I am all for a total rebuild if that's what happens. I just choose to ignore the product on the field for a couple of years.)
  3. I just want to know what all this "every chance to win is sacred" was about? The Offseason isn't over and we have holes to fill still, but I have a hard time imaging how this team is not worse than last years at this point.
  4. I love that Rose has his own rule named after him, but I hate the actual rule because it hurts the Bulls. OK Bulls you have 6 years to prove to Rose that you want to win. I know it seems unfathomable that Rose would even consider leaving the Bulls down the road, but Cavs fans felt the same way with LeBron when he got his first extension. He was also a hometown superstar who at the time said all the right things and pledged to remain with Cleveland. It's not very likely, but if the Bulls end up not quite getting over the hump over the next 6 years, due in part to management being unwilling to dip their toes in the luxury tax level to get that one final piece, I could see Derrick "I just want to win" Rose considering other options. People change and as players advance through their careers, they begin to realize they have a limited time in this game and don't want to play their whole career without a title. Anyways, I know I'm opening up a can of words, talking about something that won't be an issue for 6 years, and even still is like a 2% chance as it stands now, but I hope the Bulls brass has this at least in the back of their minds as the years pass.
  5. Damn. At least they made it entertaining. I hate when these games happen. So damn frustrating.
  6. We should have like 3-4 goals in the last few minutes.
  7. I feel like we have couple of games like this each season. Go down a couple of goals come back to within 1 in 3rd. Get a ton of awesome chances but frustratingly nothing goes in. Another post.
  8. Wow 2 near disaster breakaways in 2 minutes. Some sloppy hockey for the Hawks the last couple of minutes. Can't seem to get established in the zone. I hate when comebacks end 1 goal short.
  9. Wow, I literally gave up on this game and just randomly flipped back thinking it would be like 4-1. ANOTHER bar....is that 3 or 4 tonight?
  10. I'm hoping that by having 5 competent offensive players in the starting lineup, Rose can be spared more inefficient scorer jokes by SSR by the end of the season. I could definitely see his scoring drop down a tick or two but more be more efficient. 23 ppg/ 8.5 apg /57% TS% would be spectacular
  11. Put the Bulls game on and pretend its the regular season. Bulls starting 5 is looking terrific (i know i know preseason)
  12. And that's probably game. Oh well, we've played well. Just don't make this a trend. You rack up 29 minutes of penalties (7 power plays I believe) in 40 minutes and its gonna be hard to win most nights.
  13. Disappointing power plays This feels like a shutout I have to say. And another Hawks penalty...geez. If they score here, just gotta chalk it up to a bad night I guess and get ready for Montreal tomorrow.
  14. Dammit how many times have we hit a post or seen a loose puck rebound float inches from a Hawk stick right in front of the net? Seriously, the puck seems to bend around the stick of the Hawks player standing near the crease.
  15. Really? I've seen good puck movement for the most part and seen some good chances once they get into the zone. Granted I've been flipping from the Bulls game so maybe I'm not getting the entire picture
  16. We are getting quite a few good chances but they are stopping them or we are just missing.
  17. defensive lapse makes it 2-0. We are playing well for the most part but not getting the results
  18. Unreal, another Penguins PP I mean that one was obvious, but so was the Penguin that launched himself into a Blackhawk
  19. Ideally, you toss the guy who committed the dirty hit. Or at least give them a 5 minute major. Apparently you have to lay unconscious on the ice in order to draw a 5 minute penalty like Seabs did.
  20. And the Hawks pay with a Penguins goal. Horseshit
  21. Nothing like getting your ass kicked by John Scott. Dude's bleeding. Nice work Scott.
  22. Wow Iginla....this is where the salary cap room and assets we've built come into play for all those frustrated with the offseason.
  23. Enjoy your Urban Meyer bowl Buckeyes!
  24. I finished my season 6-7 and made it on a tiebreaker, but had the 2nd most points in the league, go figure. Now that Miles Austin and Vick are healthy, I am rolling through the playoffs. Here's my situation. This league starts 12 WRs so it gets pretty thin at the end. I need to start 4 of the following: Brandon Marshall @ NE Miles Austin vs. PHI Jabar Gaffney vs. MIN Darius Heyward-Bey @ KC Steve Breaston vs. OAK Austin Collie vs. HOU Marshally and Austin are locks. Gaffney is a near lock with how he's been playing. It mostly comes down to the final spot. Leaning towards Heyward-Bey, who almost cost me my season last week by not playing.
  25. A few tough matchups in there WRs: Colston and Wallace I'd go with Kevin Smith in the flex.
