  1. Figures....Robbie misses a FG right after they show the graphic that he's never missed at Lambeau. Come on Robbie
  2. Im gonna laugh my ass off if the Bears somehow beat GB and the Falcons lose to NO, keeping their playoff chances alive into week 17, needing a Falcons loss and Bears win to make it. Wont happen though. Lets just try to be competitive
  3. Theo still wins by a landslide despite the less than exciting offseason so far.
  4. Last minute advice. Pick 3 RBs from these 4: Willis McGahee @ BUF Rashard Mendenhall vs. STL Ryan Mathews @ DET Khalil Bell @ GB Was leaning towards the first 3, but I keep coming back to Bell, who will likely get every carry against GB, while McGahee is oft injured and has been losing carries to Lance Ball. On the downside, the Bears likely won't have many TD opportunities, and the Bears might be abandoning the run earlier in the game than I hope. For the record, Bell is projected for 15.5 points by Yahoo, which is more than the other 3 (all around 12-13)
  5. I really hope you didn't have to pay for it. Who buys a jersey of a player rumored to be traded in the next couple of weeks?
  6. Bruce Levine will be on espn 1000 at 430 and they were teasing news about trading Garza. Probably not anything as they would just come out and say it if it was anything meaningful.
  7. Yeah even if we just signed a bunch of veterans to 1 year deals along with a couple of potential long term pieces that if everything went right they could win 85 games and sneak in the playoffs on a weak team it would If they payroll ends up being like $100 million, it wont make sense to me at all. And if the team ends up sucking, guess what? You have a crapload of veterans on expiring contracts that you can ship off for prospects in July. Because that's what we're trying to do right? Gain prospects, build the farm. Seems like a good way to do it and give the fans of your big market club something to at least be mildly excited with. In future years I would be fine with starting a bunch of unknowns once we have a farm system that has some potential.
  8. Chiefs games are probably going to be the most entertaining product to attend in the Cubs organization - including the big league team for the next 2 years. Well maybe not as much 2011, but in 2013 last years draft picks will likely play there correct?
  9. Man I bet whoever gets the 6 seed in the AFC will be excited.
  10. This much be what Theo meant when he said every season is an opportunity to win.
  11. http://espn.go.com/chicago/mlb/story/_/id/7381851/chicago-cubs-agree-terms-relief-pitcher-manny-corpas-source-says Coming off TJ surgery
  12. Maybe Theo is filling out the Iowa roster I feel like every offseason move has gotten progressively worse. DeJesus ok nice signing, Stewart...eh, trading Marshall for nothing special...are you sure? Cubs sign Rnny Ceen...Good God!
  13. Basically the Bulls will be paying roughly $10 million more than they would have with the old CBA.
  14. Hawks, at +16, now have the 3rd best goal differential in the West so they are climbing up there. Not sure who else is playing tonight but the Hawks are currently 3 points up on the next best team.
  15. Yes....get that point differential up there. Bickell and Stalberg got a good partnership working.
  16. I echo that sentiment. At least tazer gets that goal back that he didnt get earlier.
  17. Wow the Habs almost scored like 4 times in the last few minutes.
  18. 2 goals in 21 seconds! Nice!
  19. What an awful power play. I've been seeing the Hawks launch a lot of bad angle shots lately. Also, I've seen a Hawk behind the net or on the boards looking to center and there is not a Hawk there.
  20. Crazy...I didn't realize the Hawks are playing 9 of the next 10 at home. In the next 23 days, the Blackhawks have to leave Chicago for 1 day (December 21 - January 13)
  21. It's gonna be really weird to see K. Wood and T. Wood on the back of cubs jerseys next year.
  22. LOL way to limit yourself to only potential coaches who can speak French. I mean I get that the French speaking media is probably bigger than the English speaking, and he's going to do press conferences, etc. but come on. All that said, if the Cubs hired a manager that only spoke Spanish I guess I'd feel a little weird about it. I wouldn't try to drive him out of town but I'd prefer he spoke the national language, which is what Habs fans want. But then countering that again from what I understand, a majority of people from Quebec, especially a city like Montreal speak English well even though everything there is written in French. If the majority of Chicagoans spoke Spanish, again it would be more understandable to have a spanish speaking manager.
  23. losing Ramirez, Marshall, Pena, and in talks to trade Garza and possibly Marmol and replacing them with DeJesus, Stewart and minor league pieces so far certainly doesnt give much evidence that this is anything but a complete rebuild. The offseason isn't over but its becoming more clear to me that this is the route they are going. And whatever im cool with it.
  24. I mean whatever fine, get rid of the players I actually liked from the last few seasons. But can they stop all going to division rivals.
