Nathan and Montgomery and possibly Chapman available today. Matusz was just released, so likely Patton up unless something else is going on. I would assume Grimm is coming back up. He can't come up unless someone goes on the DL. -

Hendricks needs to go deep today and I know he will. Who is even available in the pen tonight? Wood, Edwards, Strop and Rondon all pitched over 1 inning last night. Chapman has pitched in 4 of 5 days. Im guessing Matsuz DFA and Cahill activated from the DL (he's been doing rehab right?) or at the very least another AAA or DL reliever because I don't think any of our top 5 relievers will be available. Maybe Wood.

Travis Wood? You're comfortable with that, if a guy goes down? Because you SHOULD be scared [expletive]. How many guys are comfortable with their 6th starter? Ideally you'd like a young guy in AAA who could be a future rotation piece but between Wood and Montgomery you have a couple of options. Heck you could even extend Cahill.

Other teams don't have 7 game leads on their division. But it's not 15, Duke. ugh ok fine whatever mock me, i still think its dumb to throw someone out there on short notice who isn't very good to begin with.

Yeah, who cares about starters wearing out in the playoffs like Arrieta last year? Maddon has been pretty good this year about getting guys appropriate rest, limiting pitch counts etc this year. If it was common for pitchers to wear out going into October you'd see other teams using 6 starters.

The 5 that we have been using have been fine enough. I mean I'm fine with getting a starter but not because this guy sucks

I know this is overreaction but I feel like after about 18 months of being virtually flawless the FO and Maddon seem to be making many moves that I simply am not a big fan of.

I thought there were 4 total players? Would be disappointed if it was just those 2. That would be comparable to Torres and something between Eloy and Almora, certainly not a Kyle Schwarber like haul. So yeah would be disappointed if Theo ended up with a rental with a DV background over a slightly bigger haul for 2.5 years of Miller
