  1. Oh, CSN decided to show errors for their onscreen graphic instead of runs
  2. It is such an usual feeling to feel good when Heyward comes up against a dude with a 100 MPH fastball with a RISP and less than 2 outs.
  3. Lets go Wade Davis, make your once a fortnight appearance count!
  4. the hottest hitter on the team is up with the game on the line
  5. Good things happen whenever Rizzo goes the other way at the LF
  6. I want to say in advance that I am not a huge fan of Strop in this situation.
  7. I've never seen a catcher have as much trouble catching the ball on a consistent basis as Willy does.
  8. But again, ignoring results, Jay vs. RHP was a lot more optimal than Almora vs. RHP or Schwarber vs. LHP. If the Cubs offense was hitting, there's no way he would have done that, but with the bases loaded 1 out in the 6th inning in a tie game with a horribly slumping offense, I don't mind Joe wanting to give the Cubs the best possible matchup in that situation. Plus it takes the worst hitter (currently) and fielder on the team out of the game. I must have missed why Contreras got into the game though...I didn't understand that. Jay hits lefties well, could have skipped Almora and gone straight to him. You have to know theyre bringing in a righty if Almora bats. I dont mind the way it way it went down, though. Good point!
  9. Dammit we missed out on a Siegrist vs. Rizzo matchup :(

  11. Can't wait to see Kyle Hendricks PH'ing in the 11th inning because our bench is down to just Javy now.
  12. Inches from a 4-2 lead, instead we have to settle for a tie game
  13. and of course he GIDP's 2017 Cubs y'all
  14. He does have the highest average exit velocity on the team for the season so at this point, I don't think it's a fluke
  15. Chess match in the 6th inning, but I get it...with the way the offense has gone, you want the best matchup you can get in for this critical AB. Schwarber vs. LHP and Almora vs. RHP are 2 of the worst matchups you can get for the Cubs.
  16. Heyward is pretty damn good right now. That one was into the wind against a situational lefty too. Would have been a 3 run HR on many days
  17. Thank you Spaghetti....damn Heyward could easily have 2 HRs today
  18. Yeah Addy is all about weak popups more than K's. I think his K rate has gone down this year.
  19. Up to a 36% K rate. Wake me up when he's at 2014 Javy levels
  20. He's closing his eyes and flailing. There isn't even a perceivable "approach" to his at-bats anymore How does this happen? The freaking guy was injured for 6 months and came back to dominate in the World Series. The human psyche is a mysterious thing. I'm guessing his abrupt return to the lineup and limited amount of big league experience didn't give the Indians a whole lot of data to scout Schwarber (plus SSS). Now he is going through a period where teams know how to pitch him a lot better, and then now he's either trying to make adjustments to his swing on the fly or has just lost all confidence at the plate because all of the sudden he looks really lost out there.
  21. OK I am officially a meatball...schwarber should go down to Iowa. I've seen him swing 4 times today and none of the 4 have come close to making contact. Maybe Iowa is too drastic but he's hurting the Cubs being in the lineup right now.
  22. 18 hits and 5 runs scored in last 51.2 non-Kershaw innings
  23. Wow Schwarber looked awful on that strikeout swing, it wasn't even close to making contact.
