  1. Completely forgot that we can stream CSN games on the NBC Sports App. This is awesome, I was gonna miss the start of this.
  2. Randall is a Cubs twitter star, I'm not sure why he occasionally stops by to slum it with us.
  3. Thought this was somewhat interesting in a FG article about the Yankees rebuild. http://www.fangraphs.com/blogs/how-brian-cashman-sold-the-yankees-rebuild/
  4. [expletive] why did those [expletive] pitch to Goldschmidt? The Sox fans are right though, on my death bed if this never happens I am sure I will be making my last words "my only regret is that I didn't see a wire to wire World Champion Cubs team in my lifetime. Why oh why did the Pirates have to start out 4-0 that year? *croak*"
  5. And while we're on the topic of the White Sox...their commentary on the Cubs losing opening night: Who cares enough to track this stuff? Weren't the Cubs in first place wire to wire last year?
  6. Quintana not helping his trade value early on. Gave up a 5 spot in the 2nd to the Tigers, overall 6 ER in 3.2 IP so far.
  7. I believe raw has a Bears blog so it might make sense for him to compile something like this.
  8. Wonder if this is a sign of Zo's role this year. Not to say that he's not the usual starter but he will be given even more rest days than last year.
  9. This must be the reason why the rest of the team forced him to retire after last season. His antics were just too raunchy for all of the young players on the Cubs roster. I mean the Cubs vets literally carried him off the field so he couldn't participate in their celebration after winning the World Series. I'm sure some of the vets on the team were worried about how x-rated his antics would be that night and the influence it would have on them. We are really starting to kill this joke
  10. Not to mention the FO that spent significant resources and spared no expenses in overhauling the development system. I think some people really underrate that aspect when discussing the Cubs hit rate on prospects. Theo said it in his intro PC, that he wanted to create the "Cubs Way", standardize development throughout the minor league levels so that instructors, coaches and managers were all delivering the same message and focusing on developing the same way. They (via Ricketts) invested heavily in new Cubs facilities in Mesa and in the DR so that their prospects had access to the best tools and equipment possible.
  11. Javy will forget his name if he keeps this up.
  12. I used it for the big gulp trick but the Cubs shut that down several years ago so I am fine with it being gone. At least Taco Bell is still around for the degenerates.
  13. When the hell did you move to St. Louis from Seattle (or wherever exactly it was in the pacific NW)? A year ago, I made a bunch of posts about it. just kidding, it was a month ago I thought you had sounded depressed in your posts recently
  14. That was one of the worst "close" college basketball games I've ever watched. Like you said, there was no flow, both teams were bricking awful 3 point attempts. I was relieved when it was over.
  15. It's sucks that such a great city doesn't have any professional sports teams anymore
  16. Stat of the day: Seung-Hwan Oh has given up 20 ER in his MLB career. 45% of those earned runs (9/20) have been allowed to the Cubs.
  17. Ok, I knew the option was one...bad math on my part though on the other year. They might also believe that he could overperform the next few years and would end up paying more for his later arb years if they went year to year.
  18. 2 posts up :)
  19. https://www.theplayerstribune.com/anthony-rizzo-cubs-world-series-offseason-2017/ It must suck for Riz to bite his tongue and praise that hardass Ross because he wants to preserve the narrative. Dude Anthony we can see right through your hollow words.
  20. Updated the OP. [expletive] I better not have to update again anytime soon
  21. Grichuk continues his .500/.600/.800 slash line against the Cubs and .230/.240/.270 against everyone else in his career
