    Wow Thad Matta "stepping down" as HC at OSU. Not surprised its happening, but surprised at the timing even though he's had some recent embarrassments trying to fill scholarships this offseason.

    Addy is pretty much in a time share with Javy at SS when Zobrist is in there. I won't call it a platoon because they both hit lefties better than righties.

    Fine you all made smart points. I guess I just get concerned that he's having more elbow issues when he does not pitch a 3rd day in a row after such a light recent workload when he's done it before this year.

    Wade Davis has been everything we asked for, although it does concern me slightly that he couldn't go for a 3rd straight day after pitching only 1 time in a 15 day span from May 17 - June 1st. He did go 3 straight days earlier this year, although that time he only threw 23 combined pitches the first 2 days. This time around he threw 34 pitches.

    I don't know why he's not available. I know one of his outings was a lot of pitches but before the last 2 games wasn't he off for like 7 days

    I'm not sure Heyward isn't a genius right there. He may have did that to make sure Rizzo scored. Baited everyone. That's exactly what it looked like to me. Same. Heyward is too smart of a baserunner to accidently get caught up there. He knows that Fowler has a SHO at Rizzo there. If Heyward gets the throw cut off then the run scores. If he doesn't, Rizzo scores maybe 80% of the time and he's at 3rd

    Well our entire rotation has ERAs north of 3.90 but at least our pen is pretty horsefeathering solid

    Plus it just has to be pissing Cardinal fans off that he's calling Cubs by their nicknames like "grimmer" and telling inside stories about the Cubs players not to mention the long gush fest over all the awesome stuff that happened in his farewell year
