    I'm not sure how far MLB's investigating can go, especially if there is not police report or accusation from the victim herself. They might reach out to her or her attorney and see if she is willing to make a statement about the allegations, but otherwise I don't see what they can do. The MLB has suspended players for DV without any formal police charges - Chapman's charges were dropped and he was still suspended - but I'm not sure an instagram comment from a friend of the alleged victim is enough to do anything.

    Dear God, Julie Dicaro is talking about this on twitter and I think...I think she just implied that having Chapman in the clubhouse gave young players like Addison the impression that hitting women was acceptable on the Cubs? Or maybe I'm just reading it completely wrong.

    Honestly if the allegations hold any merit on the dv, mlb/cubs should arrange a trade in. Won't happen, but it should. Yeah, however I don't think anything will come of this unless his wife comes out with it herself. A post on Instagram by her friend is bad and enough to destroy Addison in the court of public opinion (and rightfully so) but I'm guessing not enough for the police and/or MLB to investigate by itself. Could be wrong though.

Or do the recent NBA trend of hiring recently retired PGs and hire Hinrich (kidding of course) I don't think any top coaching candidate is going to join this pile of endless mediocrity Yeah, you're getting passed over by anyone who is established. They'd laugh at this horsefeathers roster. I don't really care honestly, its extremely unlikely to be any worse. And it sucks because with a veteran led roster, any green coach is going to be walked all over similar to Fred. It would have to be a long time assistant that has a lot of respect around the league. Semirelated note: Didn't Boylan and Jimmy already get into it last year during a game?
