i feel like it's been said a hundred times lately that he's not facing his old team i wouldn't expect this from you Hah, I've been on a work retreat all week so haven't had much time to think about the upcoming rotation. Other than game thread creation my posting has been light.

If Monty is available I don't see the need for Pena especially because Seal Boy has been swinging his flipper well as of late.

And he's still walking fewer batters than he did in the minors (it was over 6/9 IP -- nice -- in his last three MiLB stints/levels). Some regression was inevitable, but yeah it's been a bit extreme now. I'd wondered for a while why teams weren't being more patient with him. Even when he wasn't walking guys, his command was still pretty bad and he was getting bailed out by swings. Obviously his crazy movement is part of that. But perhaps teams indeed are being more patient on him now and forcing him to throw strikes, because few people actually hit him anyway. Wow. You just described Carlos Marmol. Man I feel confident when Carl comes in but not even close to as confident during peak Marmol. It was an 8 inning game with him in 2007

We are officially streaking despite our shitty perfect closer again not blowing the game. Today the Cubs look to make it 5 in a row as someone takes the hill for the Cubs against Sean Newcomb who I know nothing about. Who is someone? Oh come on we were having fun, don't let me ruin that.
