  1. Their bad pitch selection evened out ours. Now way Fukudome should have seen a slider there. I also didn't like the fastball to Kent. Howry was up in the count and should have wasted a slider or two on him. As a reliever, you can't be a one-pitch pitcher.
  2. Beasley is only 6.8 with shoes? Wow, that's 2 inches shorter than what he was listed at. But isn't everyone in the NBA at least one inch shorter than what they are listed?
  3. No it doesn't have to be. It's called fleecing because one team desperately wants something and will pay to get it.
  4. The Tribune said this today, "Would the Bulls give up the No. 1 draft position to the Heat in exchange for Wade and the No. 2 overall selection? Or some combination of other players and picks?" I would hope so. Wade and Beasley or just Rose? I'm going with the former.
  5. Someone in Baltimore has to be wondering what they were thinking... Could have had what, Gallagher, Cedeno, Marshall? Sometimes the best trade is the one you don't make.
  6. It probably means that Mike is making another return They can use Collins until Rose is just about ready to take the team to the next level, then bring in Phil Jackson for 6 championships in 8 years. Rose better not be thinking minor league baseball. as long as he doesn't develop a gambling problem there won't be a reason for a sham retirement/minor league stint Can he still "be friends" with porn chicks? On Boers and Bernstein Terry wouldn't say exactly why he thought Collins was let go. He said that he media was forced to speculate because the Bulls weren't that specific. So what is Terry talking about?
  7. I knew I liked Brenly when two years ago he ripped Baker and Rothschild for allowing the Cub pitchers to miss covering first base two games in a row and not even practicing it the next day
  8. by "share the time" i assume you mean in the same way that Ward shares the time with Lee at first. Pie's stats vs. righties aren't much different from Johnson's. Pie is faster, has a better arm, and can play about as good of defense as Johnson does. I don't see the harm in playing Pie vs. righties if you want to get Pie going at all.
  9. Edmonds will continue to be bad and will be relaesed. Pie will come up and share time with Johnson the rest of the season.
  10. Portland might want Hinrich. The 13th pick is way too much for him right? Plus, the Bulls don't want three picks.
  11. He had a neoprene sleeve on it and he was hobbling around a bit when I saw him last Friday
  12. Deng replaces Anthony Are the Bulls packaging 10 points a game in the trade along with Deng to cover for Carmelo?
  13. What would Denver want for Carmelo? Deng and?
  14. I love Eric Gordon's athleticism and burst, but I don't think he's much of a basketball player right now. He has as much upside as Rose in my estimation, but is far more raw. I think he'll take years longer to be a major contributor than Rose will. Granted, I never really saw him early on when he wasn't shooting 37% from the field. But that's precisely why I question his ability to contribute early on. i think that everyone knows that i like gordon, despite being an illini fan. but i was being a little facetious. though i think gordon will have a long and fruitful nba career and will be a lottery pick. Ah, so that's what that is. I do know some people that are crazy high on Gordon, though, so you never know. Are people really still crazy high on Gordon? Has he been having good workouts, or have those not even started yet? I'm not sold on him as an impact player. Didn't he really fizzle during the second half of the season? I remember him being extremely well thought of during the first half of the season, but maybe the firing of Sampson effected him.
  15. From cnnsi: The Bulls' surprising victory should quickly restore interest in the underachieving team. Interviewed immediately following the result, Schanwald read the number for callers to buy season tickets. "I thought it was a waste of time. I thought coming here was an absolute waste of time. I knew I would get a great meal out of it, but I thought it was a waste of time," Schanwald said of the Bulls' chances. "I'm on top of the world. I feel great. It's the most exciting day of my life."
  16. Disgustingly better than anything ever? Have you ever heard of Bob Gibson?
  17. His average last year was bitter. Didn't Leyland say something like "chemistry is high-school stuff. Chemistry is horse 'crap.'"
  18. the black steve nash? Nash can only dream of being so athletic. Nash is an MVP. I would love for Rose to be just like Nash. But they are different players. Rose is much stronger and will be better at taking the ball to the basket. Rose can create his own shot. Nash is a better distributer. Boers and Bernstein were talking about D'Antoni and taking the Knicks job is better because they are closer to a championship because they have more talent. I agreed then, but getting the number one pick just changed all that. Who the heck was that guy who was sitting for the Bulls? I had never heard of him. I had heard of most of the other team's reps.
  19. Are the Clippers trying to trade Brand and Maggette?
  20. Noah isn't nearly as athletic as Chandler. Thomas is athletic, but he has no offensive talent other than dunking. Paxson should have taken Aldridge. Hughes is signed through next year also.
  21. How do you know that if you are not number 9 you must be 3 or better? 1.9% chance. Amazing.
  22. Sweet! Man are they lucky. It's gotta be Rose. This might save Paxson's job. So what can the Bulls get for Hinrich?
  23. Has a pitcher ever been taken out of a no-hit game just due to a pitch count? What was the team that threw a non-no but had like 5 pitchers do it? Was that due to a weather delay? I don't care how many pitches you have, if you have a no-hitter going, you should never be taken out unless you are just coming back from a major injury.
  24. Anyone here think Ramirez is smaller that when he first came to the Cubs? He also seems to be behind fastballs, at least more than he used to be.
  25. pooping on his lawn doesn't exactly qualify as "fertilizing" it Well Bernard was not home. Big surprise. His grass was about two feet long. House isn't for sale either. But guess who lives a couple of doors down? Either Devin Hester or Mark Bradley. They were all hanging out in the garage looking at someone's incredible 4-wheeler. I hope it wasn't Hester's. I wonder if he has a clause in his contract saying that he can't ride one of those. Then they got into Bradley's SUV and went fishing (really). Their houses really weren't that big. They were your typical four-bedroom suburban house. I guess if you are single and don't have a monster contract you don't need an enormous house. But their cars, well that's a different story. I was hoping they would grab a football and start playing football in the street.
