  1. Wait I got it. Soriano's homer will result in a long game that St. Louis wins, ultimately straining our pen more. Yep, Soriano's homer will hurt the Cubs.
  2. I KNEW he would do this. I still don't like him. He is like the girl who you dumped, but you realize how hot she can be and you take her back even after she cheated on you. Just what we needed: an extra inning game. Wait, Wood will blow it in the 9th.
  3. Lou's questioning Lou too probably. Taking out Hill has worked so far.
  4. It is not a coincidence that the Cubs are playing worse with Soriano. You can't sit him for any stretch. You just have to hope that he gets out of this. Maybe move him down to 7th.
  5. Never throw that man a fastball again. Never throw him a strike again. It is really simple to get him out. When you look at all of the other $80-130 million dollar players out there, man could you get a lot more than Soriano.
  6. Seriously. How many of those are we going to have to see before Ronny plays? Ronny has made at least one error this year too. Errors happen.
  7. oh god no...not Plesac. Pleasac makes me yearn for the Joe Carter era. Carter: So Jim (McMahon), do you still talk to commissioner Rozelle to try to patch things up? McMahon: No Joe, Rozelle's been dead for years.
  8. We need Lieber to go 5 tonight. Seriously, that decision by Lou might have saved the game. The Cubs are incredibly lucky right now. Don't fret, this is the highest scoring team in the league.
  9. One more curve and he'll be gone. List of things Soriano is afraid of: the wall, curves, walking, hitting the pitch where its thrown...
  10. I wouldn't throw Soriano a fastball. No need for a 2B or left fielder either.
  11. Ha! Those pick off throws to second can be quite deceptive.
  12. If the pen holds up, that choice by Lou might win the Cubs the game
  13. He got out of the inning. Everyone is going to be used tonight anyway.
  14. I don't care if you have 10 days off, you should be able to find the plate. Hill is supposed to be a major leaguer. He has side sessions to keep him tuned. I wasn't expecting him to be perfect, but I expected more than this. I wonder if Lou is still fuming from last game and he took it out on Hill.
  15. Come on, man. What is that his 3rd blown save already this year? Plus the horrible outing in game one. I have had enough of the Wood for closer experiment. I agree, Marmol to closer. Sorry Kerry, but in save situations this year he has been terrible. So you'd rather have Wood/Howry coming in for difficult situations like the one Marmol came in for today? Right. The Cubs lost because of Wood. Your best reliever should be your closer.
  16. Come on, man. What is that his 3rd blown save already this year? Plus the horrible outing in game one. I have had enough of the Wood for closer experiment. I agree, Marmol to closer. Sorry Kerry, but in save situations this year he has been terrible. This is why a pitcher's W/L is not a perfect indicator of his level of play.
  17. One of the least talked about prospect in the Cubs' system turns out to be the best. I don't think I realized how important great young catchers are and how hard they are to come by. Man Soto is gold. I am really happy for him.
