  1. If China broke the age rules, that is certainly wrong. But the U.S. girls didn't do very well on the balance beam and on the floor exercise. They have themselves to blame for that. Would they have won if the entry to the balance beam was landed, two girls hadn't stepped out on the floor exercise, and the girl hadn't fallen during her floor exercise?
  2. Yes he is still on the Hawks. About being 100%... I'm not even going to venture a guess on whether he is 100%, you can never tell with him. I'm pretty sure the Hawks aren't counting on him for much this season even if he is 100% Is he considered soft? Man I wish Daze could have stayed healthy.
  3. I would have been more happy if he could have brought some of the Red Wings with him.
  4. I guess he hates catching TDs in the Super Bowl. moose was a punk, he always had some excuse as to why he wasn't performing, and he was never at fault. He led the league in dropped balls in his first year. He didn't have good hands last year either if I remember correctly. Every time he didn't get a perfect ball he would give this nasty look to the QB. He signed a big contract, but his skills have seriously diminished.
  5. Only after the coaches had to promise that none of the gymnasts would get hurt during their training.
  6. McDonough was out shaking hands, giving out free t-shirts, and serving free coffee to those who got tickets yesterday. What a change.
  7. Is that US history or modern Olympic history?
  8. I am convinced that gymnastics is the most physically demanding sport at the Olympics. This stuff is just incredible.
  9. Did the announcer just say that it seems like everyone is moving backward compared to the American swimmer? Well it was the backstroke.
  10. Yes and set the WR. He jumped out to an early lead and never looked back. Are we watching everything live?
  11. Pat Foley is back too! Hockey on WGN radio and TV.
  12. I don't know how good Tebow's arm is, but he needs to turn into a pocket passer or harness his running. Pure runners, like Vick, don't make it in the NFL. If he had the old McNabb's escapeability, I would be happy with him.
  13. Williams didn't miss one practice or game while in college. The back issue was very minor. Regardless, this is a different back issue.
  14. Hanie looked impressive. Did he throw a bad pass? Two bad drops. A nice little run. Good poise. The line wasn't bad actually, but Dorsey might have had something to do with that. Pro Football Weekly says, "Williams' latest back injury reportedly is similar to the one suffered by CB Charles Tillman in 2006. Tillman was able to return to action later that year, and the Bears also expect Williams to be able to make it back. As a result, according to our sources, the Bears are planning to keep Williams on the final 53-man roster." How long was Tilman out for?
  15. The Bears weren't going anywhere anyway. This will only improve their draft status for next year.
  16. Haas makes all the plays, but couldn't even get any PT last year when the Bears weren't going anywhere. Same with Beekman. Ridiculous.
  17. It's supposedly unrelated to the back spasms Williams had earlier. Time to move Tait back over. Bears look to be getting close to reacquiring Miller at RT. Some sources say Williams is out for the year. I say put Williams out there because the lien is going to be lying on their backs after a second anyway. At least we will be using out well-paid LT to lie on the ground and get trampled on.
  18. Yep, it's the Hall of FAME. Ozzie Smith wasn't very good, but he was famous :) What?
  19. If he could keep us his steals, he might have the stats as a leadoff man. But the reason he is a leadoff man is that he is not patient enough to be a 3-5 hitter like he should be. I don't think that should work in his favor so as to get in the HOF as a leadoff man.
  20. Chris Young double. Nice game though. This is where it can fall apart. Up 2-0, things can come unhinged.
  21. Karstens through 7 2/3. Perfect game so far.
  22. What are his stats prorated this year? He would have to be close to being an MVP candidate right?
  23. Anyone have video of that groundskeeper falling down and getting trapped in the tarp? That was hilarious!
  24. Saying one guy has been better than the other in no way say that the competition is over for the rest of camp. I am just talking about the first pre-season game. If you look at the depth chart released, they have Davis/Hester for the number one receiver position and Lloyd/Booker for the other. There is no reason why Davis should be the number one receiver. Do other football teams do this?
  25. Even reporters like David Haugh, and announcers like Tom Thayer have admitted that neither has been better than the other. Both have been pretty boringly "ok". They've had a few mistakes, they've had a few nice moments, but generally, they've both been meh. Neither is ahead of the other, though Haugh said if pinned down, he's say Orton's been better, but not in any significant fashion. Then Orton is better. I've heard Rex is a great practice QB, but an average to below average game QB. If he can't blow Orton out of the water in practice, he is the #2 QB. Also, stop saying that Rex is a game manager and Rex is not. Both have around the same TDs to INTs. A game manager doesn't throw 50/50. Now maybe Orton is better at managing the game now, but we don't really know that from experience. And stop saying that Orton is 12-3 or whatever as a starter. He was the worst starting QB in 2005. He was 12-3 in spite of his play. I remember that Sunday night game when Orton was QB and Rex came in. The offense starting clicking right away. The field was opened up.
