  1. Noah is hilarious to watch. Like taking candy from a baby.
  2. The announcers are correct: have every possession go through Rose. Gordon should stand in a corner, wait for penetration, and then be open on the kickout. What Rose can do is penetrate and score. Gordon has nothing when he gets in the air. Man does he look bad in the air.
  3. The 90s Bulls teams would absolutely curbstomp this Lakers team. The Kobe-Shaq teams would as well. They're talented and they play a very aestheticly appealing brand of ball but they are soft as butter in a lot of areas. But watch this team develop. Shaq had power, but Gasol is smooth as butter. We really haven't seen what Bynum can do with Gasol and Kobe.
  4. Noc, get a haircut. My goodness that is bad.
  5. Yeah, but Portland is extremely high on Fernandez and doubtful he would be available. Yeah, I know. I don't know why they would trade Fernandez, but have to trade something to get something. I'd be willing to throw in Deng after 12/15 and take back Pryzbilla and Diogu (other big contracts of non-core players) if needed. Unfortunately Deng is basically untradeable. Due to his contract extension, Deng is a BYC player which makes trading Deng is virtually impossible seeing as the Bulls could only take about a certain amount in return. So Deng is untouchable this yr. Deng is a $70 million dollar player who doesn't do anything particularly well. He can't post up, can't shot threes, is not a good ball handler, and isn't even physical. And we couldn't trade him for Kobe.
  6. I think there have been three of them so far. This is the first Bulls game I have sat down to. Man, how did Rose only average 15 or so in college? He is lightning quick. Gordon on Radmonovich. That is a matchup problem. Gasol with 18 in the first with 2:11 left. Wow.
  7. What channel is the game on? The Bulls and Hawks are on CSN.
  8. They said they wanted both because both were possibilities. The law of supply and demand would have decreased the potential money the Cubs gave to Dempster and the players the Cubs would need to move to get Peavy.
  9. For the same reason the Cubs didn't resign Wood. Money. It doesn't grow on tress, especially in this economy. Peavy has no chance of coming here.
  10. Agreed. I'd also look at WR early. Another rant... Is Earl Bennett worse than Davis, Booker, Hester, Lloyd, or the two TE they have lined up at WR? This WR group is awful and Bennett (a 3rd rd pick) can't see the field. Lovie doesn't like to put new people into the system. Williams can't get a sniff. Beekman couldn't last year even after there were plenty of people hurt and the Bears were out of the playoffs. He could have used the experience. Vasher played hurt when the season was over last year. Lovie is too loyal.
  11. Lovie can go to Tennessee wit my blessing. What does Lovie bring as a head coach? I really can't think of one thing. http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/news/story?id=3706349
  12. Lovie already showed emotion when he pawned over Barack Obama. But seriously, showing emotion doesn't mean crap. There are plenty of coaches who have shown it and who haven't that have won Super Bowls.
  13. I'm glad Doug still has the neanderthal gene even though he doesn't play anymore.
  14. but the Packers did not let them off the hook. Nathan Vasher is terrible. He is approaching fun bad.
  15. Or Kerry is saying that he wanted a one year deal after Hendry already made his decision so he could leave on good terms. I still think this is about money. The Cubs can't afford every player they would like. Yes the Cubs spent bad money on pitchers like Marquis, and it has to come and bite them at times.
  16. Hendry is lying. This has to be a money issue or a Lou issue.
  17. For the first couple of games, Orton was not throwing a good deep ball. But he has improved remarkably since. Not he doesn't have a cannon of an arm and probably has a weaker arm than Rex, but I think he can stretch the field. He can throw the 30-40 yard pass.
  18. I did too. What happened to last years ABrown. What happened to rookie Mark Anderson. Really and im serious, the pass rush from the interior (Harrison, I2, and the oft injured Tommie) produces more of a pass rush than the ends. I have more confidence in those 3 producing pressure/sacks than the ends. Tommie happened. All those guys benefited from Harris. When he is hurt or playing bad the Cover-2 will not work because most of the pressure is supposed to come from the front four. Tommie doesn't have to be double teamed as often, so the other guys on the line have no shot. No one except Tommie is good enough to defeat a double team. The DBs were not great, but when you have all day to throw even the best will get picked apart. Even against well below average receivers.
  19. Cuban's interest won't influence the owners to allow him on. The Cubs will be a prosperous organization and will benefit MLB no matter who gets in.
  20. Samardzija 5.48 ERA. No way. They don't think much of Dempster either (11-9 4.08 ERA).
  21. Hendry better resign him. When a player is given an option and that player has his best year right before the option, resign him. Yeah 3 million is a bit too much, but isn't Blanco the best backup catcher in the league?
  22. Darrin Jackson??? That would be hilarious. :-)) I would never watch a game on with him doing the color if he got the job. And I really like Len.
  23. I don't know much about Harrington, but is he more of a jump-shooting big man? Can he not post up?
  24. Taken control of a spot that no one else can play well though. I haven't been watching, but is he any good? I still wish Lovie had played Beekman las year when Brown went out. There was absolutely no reason for Beekman not to be starting them so we could figure out if he was any good. On another note, does Lovie bring anything to the table as a head coach except the Cover-Two which I don't even like. I just can't name anything that Lovie does particularly well.
