    Then the team should have demanded that he get an MRI and surgery if needed so he can be ready for opening day. I don't know why a player wouldn't want this. They wait too long too many times to get it figured out.

    The James Brown interview was pretty good. He was pretty tough on him. I have to think PacMan's career is over, regardless of what Jones thinks. If Jerry Jones doesn't want you, no one wants you. PacMan tried to say that he is a changed man, but no one really believes this. James Brown: PacMan, what is it about strip clubs that draws you to them time and time again? PacMan: Uhhhhh...... I about fell out of my chair when Brown asked him that.

    Backup catcher? Are you kidding me? No backup catchers are good hitters, because that's why they are backups.

    Bradley will stay healthy now that he is off the roids. And he won't have the outbursts he used to have. When was the last time the Cubs had a reputable left-handed power hitter? McGriff?

    Bradley's not really a HR hitter. I was surprised to find that he has only hit 100 or so homeruns in his 9 year career.

    I wish Pat would completely retire because he is tarnishing his image. Kind of like Favre. Kind of like Jordan. And Sosa. "Ole Miss had yardage, but not enough for a first down." Pat, they were hit for a loss behind the line of scrimmage. "What kind of formation is this?" You are supposed to tell us. No enthusiasm.

    Soriano has pretty much proven that he can't hit in the middle of the order because he isn't disciplined enough. Soriano's value decreases once he is put in the middle of the order because people in the middle of the order are pitched differently. So his discipline isn't a problem at leadoff? Not as much. He is pitched differently; he isn't given as many fastballs. This is the reason why he has failed to put up a good average when Lou, or anyone else, has slid him down in the order. Granted, we don't have a large sample size, but I am not sure we need one.

    DeRosa for Peavy (essentially) is an upgrade. He is a major league top ten pitcher.

Every manager positions his batting order a certain way. Can we get back to something we all agree on - Murph knows about as much about baseball as I do.
