  1. Lunardi had MSU predicted out of the tourney, and not even one of the first 8 to miss. He's clearly insane.
  2. Illinois tacks on some in garbage time for a 76-55 final. Encouraging stats from Calvin Brock putting up 14 points on 6-9 from the field (2-2 from 3) Frazirer and Meachum both played the entire game, and Brock and Carter got little rest.
  3. High ankle sprain, out a couple weeks I think. I thought that was Jamar Smith. Or are they all wearing low-tops now.
  4. Warren Carter 4-12 from the field, Chester Frazier with 7 TOs. Great.
  5. Nobody ever gave me an answer, whta happened to Randle?
  6. I went to check Barrett's CS%, it's not good. But guess who's worse?? BENGIE MOLINA. STOP THAT INSANITY NOW PLEASE
  7. DeRosa < Walker Walker < DeRosa. Walker ^ DeRosa
  8. Scouts have also talked about him moving to 2B, and I know he's played some 2B during the MLB-NPB All-Star series. I have him on tape. Small, small sample but I remember him making a few highlight-real worthy plays. Maybe that's where the scout talk stems. Also, do you have access to fielding data for the 2006 Japanese baseball season? I don't believe it's been released in English yet. no but I've read from a source in Japan that I trust on another board that he can't handle 2B or CF.
  9. Incredible deal for the Yanks. Mussina must've wanted to stay, I'd bet he could get 4 years from somebody.
  10. Well my offseason optimism didn't last long. I don't think anybody has ever been paid this much to be a backup catcher. Just horrendous.
  11. From everything I've seen he said he could play 3B, 2B, or CF. From what he's claimed he can play 3B, 2B, or CF. He hasn't played a game of 2B in his career and has all of 29 put outs in the OF. Great marketing ploy for him, but signing him to be your full time 2B when he hasn't played an inning there is a pretty big risk.
  12. Tuesday Night College games were way cooler when it was Boise St.
  13. i detonated on test, jim hendry should come take lessons on closing the deal Good thing Hendry doesn't take your tests for you. unless it was an eating test am i right ONLY A KRISPY KREME TEST LOL!!!!@!
  14. Wisconsin hasn't beat a team with less than 4 losses all year. You can only play the teams on your schedule. Their BCS ranking would normally qualify for a BCS game. The BCS takes SoS into account. I don't know what else to tell you. I understand what you're saying but they should at least play one BCS school team. They scheduled Bowling Green, Western Illinois, SD State and Buffalo. Plus, Syracuse can't even schedule Buffalo because teams like Auburn and Wisconsin offer them too much money according to the Buffalo AD. Exactly. Nothing against Wisconsin, but you need to schedule some good teams if you want to get BCS consideration. This isn't the NFL where you have little to no effect on the schedule that you play. This is the kinda thing that killed Kansas State for years. You guys are missing my point. I understand that Wisconsin scheduled patsies for their non-conference schedule. I'm not defending that. I'm saying that they would normally make a BCS game with the BCS ranking they are likely to have at the end of the season. They will probably finish around 6 because of matchups ahead of them and that's normally good enough to make it. Because Michigan and Ohio State are both great this year, they are going to get left in the cold. As a Wisconsin fan, that sucks. The strength of schedule really doesn't apply here at all. Edit: Also, if I'm not mistaken, if the Badgers finish 6th in the BCS, they will be the highest seeded team not to make a BCS bowl. I could be wrong, though. Oregon was #5 last year and didn't go.
  15. So you failed the test then?

I thought Big East teams only wanted to play first place teams from BCS conferences.
  17. I don't like the pattern this signing is showing, but 1M or less for DeRosa would be robbery.
  18. The loss from Jones's defense to Burrell's defense would be pretty spectacular as well.(Yes, I know Jones spiked every throw into the ground, but he had good range out there, while Burrell was far more Dunn-esque.)
  19. Bengie Molina ate himself out of being a good defensive catcher. And that package for Bonderman is absurd.
  20. Does that mean I was right about the 6-6 teams not getting invited until after all winning record teams get invited? Even if true, UCLA would probably still get a bowl as they're a pretty big name, and IIRC when I did a quick estimate a few days back it looked like about 8 6-6 teams would go to bowls. Yeah, I think you're correct. I would think 6-6 teams would only get invited after teams with winning records. In UCLA's case, the Bruins can be invited at 6-6 but up to eight Pac-10 teams might qualify for bowl games and the conference only has ties to six bowl games. But there are going to be conferences that fall short of their tie ins. The Big 10 has 7 tie ins and 6 teams who are eligible. Even if one of Minnesota or Indiana pulls off an upset next week to become eligible they'll still be one bowl short due to the loser of OSU/UM going to a BCS at large. But now after looking over the rest of the tie ins there really aren't that many openings. Poinsettia has an at large team built into it, but that's the only one. It'll all depend on how bowls are required to stick to their tie ins. So if Arkansas St. is 7-5 and Indiana is 6-6, who is the Big 10 bowl required to take? I certainly don't count on the media to provide me with the answer, since they've barely grazed on the 6-6 situation to begin with, and continue to say Notre Dame stands to make 14M from the BCS.
  21. Wasn't Yankee Stadium a haven for left handed power hitters?

  23. Butch Davis new coach at UNC. Great hire IMO.
