It would be embarrassing because we haven't lost to Mizzou since Carter was president.

I don't care what the announcers say, that OK St./Tennesee game was a hideous creature.

How often do defenses really bring in negative points? I'd start them.

This is ridiculous. Nobody said Augustine was better than May. The fact that May puts up 12/6 in the NBA and Augustine rides the practice squad tells me absolutely nothing about a 1 on 1 matchup between Augustine vs. May 1 on 1.

why does he have to? I seriously don't get it. If you're going to hate a player for taking an available number (which happens to be the number they have always worn) then you are being petty Didn't Marquis wear a different # with the Braves?

Just a quibble, it wasn't a benefit of the duobt against Nova in the last minute, it was flat out taking the ball out of Nova's hands. Just a horrendous call.
  7. SouthSideRyan
Seriously what is with them? Some games they look like a tournament team, other games they lose to freakin SE Louisiana.

Reasons why we should honor that douchebag over Sammy?

Wheaton is NAIA, no? From the looks of their website, they're DIII. On another note, the Braggin' Rights game is Tuesday. I can't wait. Maybe we can win for the first time in a thousand years. Maybe you can't!! Ohhhhhhhhh

I'm not lazy, just didn't know where on ESPN's site it was. Thanks! Whatever lazy.
  11. SouthSideRyan
And for the really lazy, go to http://espn.com/fantasy On the main page will be a link to college bowl mania. Join NSBB league with password NSBB.
  12. SouthSideRyan
espn.com/fantasy it will be right on the front page.

I'm guessing a lot of people don't check the fantasy forum. Here's the info on the bowl confidence pool. There's only 5 people in it right now and neither Cuse nor any of the SEC people are in it. Where's the fun in that? viewtopic.php?t=37158

This deal was all about Mats having no desire to go back to Japan with his hat in his hand. Barring injury or collapse he would've made at least 10M more just by waiting for his free agency.

Dempster blew 2 saves in '05 and the Cubs won both those games. Obviously, he meant '04. I thought he might've meant that, but there's still a point to be made there. The Cubs didn't get the proven closer for '05, and they wound up winning EVERY game he came in to close. The Cubs "proven closer" went down in '03 and some bum who was AAA fodder the year before became a great closer that year.

My plan of waiting for everyone else to fall under 500 and claim victory doesn't look to be working. Maybe I'll remember picks this week.
  18. SouthSideRyan
    In./bump.
  19. SouthSideRyan
he really wasn't much better than Marshall last year, and most people seem willing to give away sean for just about anything. Thank you.

I really am shocked that Maceo Baston is in the NBA.
  22. SouthSideRyan
So has anyone mentioned Suzy Kolber's mullet yet?
  23. SouthSideRyan
Non tendering anybody who isn't horrible seems like a huge mistake in this market. You're telling me you can't pick the exact team that the player will do the least damage to you in the future and get some A ball relief prospect in return for these guys?
  24. SouthSideRyan
I think Goose Gossage is available.

If Marshall's still in the organization by the end of '07, I think I"m going to be annoyed. He can definitely build some interest with a good year in AAA, but I really don't think he's going to build up his value much more than it is now. I'm not big on him at all, and think by the end of the year he'll have been passed on the depth chart by not just Marmol and Guzman, but a couple others as well.
