  1. Haven't the Bucs been struggling with attendance for years? Granted they're terrible, but it's the NFL. The Rays had settled in around 1.5-1.6M per year since getting good in '08, I'd assume if they stick around in the race, they'll make some gains. I imagine there was quite a bit of fan discontent losing 2 of their 3 most popular players(Price & Zobrist) for "prospects" along with your manager and GM that oversaw the turnaround, both leaving for no return.
  2. Beane hasn't made a living of selling off high end pitching with 5 years of control left. He'll wait until the pitcher gets expensive I think TT is overstating how common it is, but Gio did have 4 years of control when traded. If the A's sell off, it's an extra 2-3 months. ETA: Non-pitcher, but Donaldson had 4 years as well.

  4. I think it's lines like this that lead to Kyle posts.
  5. Jim Hendry wasn't a bad GM because of bad contracts.

  7. Have a couple bleachers for Tuesday if your'e looking there.
  8. I have no desire to re-live the last 3 seasons.
  9. I keep seeing people talk about how the A's would value Vogelbach more than other teams. Is this just because of Jeremys Brown and Giambi?
  10. They've been 6 over for 5 days this season. The only period of time (counting backwards) they've played under .500 is over the last 3 or 1 game(s).
  11. Not that your point matters at all, but you realize we traded a guy perceived to be a star(was actually an all-star the season prior) for him right?
  12. To me, there is no reason to do that. I'd rather they make him a qualifying offer, which would be pretty expensive at about 14.2 million, but it would be for one season only. And if another team signs him, take the first round pick and move on. I'd be surprised if Fowler accepts a QO. It would be closer to 16M though.
  13. But that will cost agreed upon names and then Schwarber at the last minute too. Not to mention the NTC
  14. Prospects are your thing, but, I'm...struggling to see how a guy with 5.8 K/9 at A+ is a top 50 prospect.
  15. Didn't realize how much Conforto has went off. Is Pentecost injured?

  17. Weird. 0 dongs in first 20 games 7 dongs in next 17 0 dongs in following 17.
  18. Most teams win when they have an early lead.
  19. Ramirez could/should be back relatively soon Who's going to replace him 3 weeks after he comes back tho?
  20. It doesn't appear that it needs to be phantom Nor would there be any reason to do that rather than just demoting him.
  21. Jimmy Butler apparently is not impressed.
