Um, pay attention guy. We sent him to the Rays in the Garza trade. Rumor has it they had the choice of him or McNutt and they took Archer. I follow the minors and prospects maybe 1% as much as most of you, and forget about them the second they're gone [expletive], I think even Mojo would know Archer was in our system.

if schwarber and baez came up that would be like super mega awesome lol -- if they ended up playing very well, wouldnt it be hard to send em back down? Why not Vogels if he is back from the DL? they wanna trade him anyways right? let him show off the stick Because Schwarber is a better hitter than Vogelbach.

Schwarber doesn't have the same red flags as Baez, and Bryant was to push back FA. Unless you think they'll play the same games with him in which case, rage.

They can call up Schwarber for the 2 in Detroit next week, then send him down immediately, then call up Baez for good for the CLE-MIN 5 game trip all the while postponing his FA.

Sorry if this has been discussed already, but with the change in the timeframe on trading 1st round picks, do people think there are going to be de-facto draft pick trading, primarily with pitchers who might be shut down for the rest of the season anyway?

I'd hate to see that next fan. You do know that they still get to play again next year, right? yeah exactly which why trading studs for rentals is a bad move. You realize that the entire point of trading for rentals is because you won't have to give up the studs. Like, the sole purpose of people wanting them. Clearly the reason the A's are terrible this year is because they got fleeced by the Cubs last year. I mean, that's just science. The A's actually have a better pythag than we do. They're gonna wind up winning the division again.
