That's how I felt about the whole Eric Gordon situation. Nobody woulda cared if EJ wasn't very good. I was furious when you guys scored Tijan Jobe.

Cant tell if your kidding or not, but Rickie Weeks injury doesnt make us the favorites to win any more than Aramis going down makes the Brewers favorites to win. If Gamel becomes an every day player, this could make the Brewers offense better. Mat Gamel is a horrendous defender and Craig Counsel will be playing close to every day. until they find a replacement.

I'm not bitter, I just hate them and want them to fail.

Didn't ESPN.com run an article the other day about MLB teams using the DL creatively to keep from having to released high priced players that haven't been living up to their contract? We could do that for Patton if they're so worried about losing him. There's a minimum # of days he has to be on the active roster in order to be able to send him down next year. If memory serves, it's all of them. Basically, any time he spends on the DL this year, he would have to make up on the active roster next year before we would be able to send him down. If you trust Wikipedia as a source, it's only 90 days. I thought it was 120, but it might be 90 pre-September days. I know there are exceptions for September rosterings in some regard because of expanded rosters.

I don't know what to say besides may the UK fall from grace be swift and SMUish.

Because we can't afford to lose a 25 year old guy who never got beyond A ball

I cannot believe he's playing like an actual prospect.

    Make it stop.

I don't even know what to say anymore.

That's cause you guys have only had Casey McGehee for a couple months.

    Hitler was resilient.

All I'm saying is Has Will Carroll ever been right about anything?(No Will, crowing about the White Sox matching PECOTA's 72 win projection doesn't count since you didn't have a damn thing to do with PECOTA)

and a non-torn labrum too. And a manager that knows how to handle him. I can't believe this Prior is a [expletive] stuff is still continuing as he comes back too injured to pitch every season.

Is he still dating Dusty Baker's daughter? If so he has a very easy way to get himself into more money. According to baseball reference, He made about 14 mil between '02-'08, so unless hes an idiot, he should be set in that department. If he wasn't an idiot, he'd be able to lay off the low off-speed pitch a foot outside the zone, and he'd be in the majors. lol

The Yankees have had 3 all stars the last 2 seasons. The Mets had 2 last year. And the Cubs are one of the 4 teams the national media cares about, so complaining, the year after we had 17 all stars, seems a bit off.

    Is this a Meph riddle?
  18. SouthSideRyan
Kenney/Hendry might be dead by then.
  19. SouthSideRyan
Why? Talking to doctors does not make one a medical expert.

There wasn't any incentive for the Padres to trade a cheap outfielder by the name of Jason Bay (along with Oliver Perez) for Brian Giles, either. But it happened. Jason Bay had like 3 major league ABs and Oliver Perez had an ERA in the mid 5s that season. There's no comparison.

    Carroll is such a clown.
  22. SouthSideRyan
I think every defender in that lineup is below average at best.
  23. SouthSideRyan
Your right he's not, but Freel has never played a game at SS in his career. It's not Freel's fault he never played for Tony LaRussa.
