I like this. Yep, going to a place with a much better coach than he had in Waukegan. I'm more concerned with him playing top level talent every game, so he can come in and be a beast from day 1. I don't think that is as big an issue now as it used to be because of the AAU tournys. It won't hurt either though. I admit to not having seen AAU basketball,(at least in its current form) but I think of it as more of a showcase for talents, than a teaching exercise in the game of basketball. Playing team basketball against top competition is I think a much better learning environment than AAU. This is definitely a stereotype, and possibly a misrepresentation of AAU ball though.
