  1. I don’t even get excited anymore when it’s taking awhile for the infielders to get the ball to first base when Almora is running.
  2. Yeah. The victim shaming is getting old. I’m one of the most engaged people at a baseball game, especially when I have good seats. I’m barely ever on my phone, or paying attention to any of the other distractions going on. But I’ve taken my 4 year old and 2 year old to games and sometimes you are not going to be watching every single pitch because you are there with a toddler, or you’re checking your MLB app to see the stats of the guy warming up in the bullpen, or whatever. These things happen subconsciously, even for the most engaged fans. The nets need to be extended to the end of the infield at a minimum. They’ve done it here in Kansas City, and it doesn’t bother me a bit.
  3. I most remember Trachsel from my first game at Wrigley Field. My dad was teaching me how to keep score. After Brian Hunter lead off the game with a double my dad turned to me and said, “Well, there goes the no hitter.” Only hit the Astros got that day. https://www.baseball-reference.com/boxes/CHN/CHN199605130.shtml I also vividly remember Sandberg scoring a run on I think a Grace single up the middle, Sosa homering and the last out was a flyball to Brian McRae.
  4. They haven’t won a series since going 3-1 against Washington April 29-May 2.
  5. I’m angry because I want Ws, but I’m not worried about this team. I feel like they are outplaying teams this whole week and not getting bounces/calls more than anything else.
  6. Sure would have liked to have seen KB up for another AB against the starter with 2 on. Freaking umpires.
  7. I just watched 14 innings of garbage baseball and listened to the game all the way through the Baez AB in the 15th before going into Kohl’s because I absolutely had to get something tonight and therefore turned it off just before the walkoff. Oh well, I’ve witnessed two already this week.
  8. We better win soon. I was supposed to go to the store a long time ago to pickup stuff for our trip leaving early tomorrow morning. Can’t wait to turn my phone off for a week and not watch baseball after the last two days (actually the Marlins games sucked for the most part too).
  9. I’m losing my mind over here. It’s freaking May.
  10. Baez and Contreras are aware that they are allowed to take pitches today, right?
  11. It’s amazing how fast I can get pissed at baseball when the team pretty much hasn’t lost for 2 weeks.
  12. May 8, 2016 Javy walked it off on a HR. Anything good happen that year?
  13. That guy would have walked us into a rally if we let him.
  14. I’m pissed at Joe, but come on bats. Seriously.
  15. Hendricks is a lot of fun to watch right now.
  16. 3 consecutive games with a HR in his last AB, 8th, 9th and 9th innings.
