  1. You think they're going to leave the 3rd largest city in America without a team, a team which has been around from the very beginning and is as storied a franchise as there is? I think there's about zero chance of that. The closest they've ever come to that was the Raiders, but LA already had the Rams and had a local team in San Diego that they could just fill in for the moving Raiders.
  2. Let's say the Bears are serious about moving to Indiana and Indiana wants them. Guess what, it still doesn't matter because the NFL will never OK the Bears leaving Chicago.
  3. Wont someone think of the poor billionaires? How will they get by?
  4. He should be suspended for multiple games, but I don't trust the NFL to do anything of integrity
  5. Alcantara is your back up CF right now. Caissie probably covers RF once Seiya leaves after this season. So sadly it's probably Ballesteros as the odd man out and he's the the one I'd least want to trade.
  6. Unless Eldridge is coming back they can get bent. I'll figure out the rest once he's on the roster.
  7. How does this horsefeathers idiot still have a job after wasting so much time and money? It's legitimately baffling that he's still employed.
  8. If Jed was willing to spend a little, nothing crazy like completely blowing past the 1st tier by 50M, but going past the first tier he could add Imai, Fairbanks, Okamoto and Refsnyder and make the Cubs heavy division favorites and in the top 3 for the NL with the Dodgers and Phillies. He wont do it, but he could.
  9. I think there's enough to get Imai and one non Fairbanks reliever along with a Refsnyder type bad.
  10. Because I can't help myself when it comes to drafts and because Jed sure as hell isn't going to give me anything to talk about, I wonder where the Bears go in the draft. Edge is a given, but after that safety might be the next biggest need unless they're going to re-sign Byard. Then you have DL and CB which both probably need to be addressed. Man, unless there's just a no doubt BPA, they might not draft a single offensive player.
  11. Filthy stuff, but that control is bad....I feel like there's a good chance we could end up really hating him. If you believe the pitch lab could help with that, he's not a bad option.
  12. I kind of want to roll the dice on Harvey. The stuff is filthy and while he'd definitely be a guy you couldn't go on back to back to backs due to repeated issues of his arm falling off, I think he's a legit lock down guy who you use sparingly.
  13. Why is Pivetta someone we've never discussed? He's supposedly available and while I don't think he's a TOR starter I think he's compares well with Steele/Boyd/Horton.
  14. Jed is a GM with a strong floor. He'll keep you mostly competitive. What Jed doesn’t have is the ability to push teams over the top. To know that yeah I'm going to pay a player more than I think he's worth and the last few years of this deal are probably going to suck, but this is my guy and I'm going to land him. Jed is constantly ready to pivot instead of going over his valuation of a player.
  15. Man I don't even need Bregman, go out grab Fairbanks, Trade for Edward Cabrera, Pick up Okamoto and if there's enough cash pick up Refsnyder as your lefty masher. The pen is filthy, the offense is incredibly deep and you have a guy with the potential to fill in the top few spots of the rotation.
  16. Honestly they're now one good pen arm away from having a very good pen. They still desperately need an arm to slot into the top 3 slots of the rotation and at bare minimum a bench bat that can mash some lefties, but overall it's a good signing.
  17. For the love of god can we please fix the bug where when you submit a response using a quote from a previous page and hit submit, nothing happens on your screen. Then you think you have to hit submit again but in reality it is posting them, you just receive no indication at all.
  18. Exactly. Of course they could still potentially put together a fabulous offseason, but things would have to go so perfectly it's just wildly unrealistic. There is no margin for error anymore.
  19. He literally said the rotation had to be addressed
  20. I'm to the point where I just can't see any way this offseason isn't a disaster without Imai. They can't afford Bregman unless they're going to spend absolutely nothing on the many remaining roster spots. You'd probably be looking at like Gallen and and maybe Fairbanks. An offseason of Gallen, Fairbanks, Maton and Milner would be woefully inadequate.
  21. Brown has some value because I think he's a tweek away from being at least a mid rotation starter. Wicks is probably a 3rd piece in a deal for any big piece. He's constantly hurt and even when he's healthy he's a back of the rotation guy.
  22. If Washington is ready to be realistic sure, because asking for Shaw+Horton was just the equivalent to hanging up the phone. We can't offer basically anything as far as arms go, but I wonder if something like Caissie+Long+Assad would get it done. Maybe something more interesting than Long a bit further away like Cristian Hernandez
  23. Another loss to an awful team last night. In fact they've been losing to completely awful teams almost every game lately. Here's their opposition's record at the time of the game over their last 8 losses, during which the Bulls have 1 win Pelican 5-22 Warriors 13-12 Pacers 5-18 Nets 5-16 Magic 13-8 Pacers 4-16 Hornets 5-14 Pelicans 3-15 Their 1 win was against a 7-18 Charlotte
  24. "MVP Candidate" Jordan Love after today 3304 passing yards 23 passing TDs 6 INT 192 rushing yards 0 rushing TD Caleb Williams 3150 passing yards 21 passing TDs 6 INT 334 rushing yards 3 rushing TDs
  25. Down goes Green Bay
