    Gallen is the exact kind of disappointing signing I'd expect from Jed who always manages to disappoint even when expectations are low. Hopefully I'm wrong, I'd very much like to be.

    Are you ready to give up on Ballesteros for Teoscar because unless Moises is a catcher, and he's probably not, Ballesteros is going to have no place to play long term and it pretty much forces their hand to trade him. I'm not against trading Ballesteros, but I'm not doing it to make room for Teoscar.

    Honestly I don't even want to hear about top tier free agents until Jed actually lands one. The closest to that was Dansby and more people than not had Dansby as the 4th best shortstop available in that FA class. Yes, I'm aware it worked out favorably.

    Meanwhile the Bulls are down 13 to the 4-16 Nets. Even by their usual standards the Bulls are horsefeathers this year.

    This rotation might be really good, but I wonder if they'll be able to offload Berrios if they eat enough of that contract. 1. Gausman 2. Cease 3. Yesavage 4. Bieber 5. Ponce 6. Lauer 7. Berrios

    Exactly. If he was 2nd the pitcher of the offseason he'd be a perfect upside signing in the back of the rotation, but with only 1 shot open you simply can't gamble it all on Ponce.

    He wasn't a Cub target, but that does mean another starter off the market.

    Honestly if they're picking at the back of the 1st round I think I'd prefer they use it to land a proven DE.

    Barring a catastrophe, he shouldn't see a single major league at bat.

    The only time the Bulls have ever been relevant was when they lucked into Rose against huge odds and Portland made the biggest draft error in NBA history. Without a crazy piece of luck, this franchise hasn't been and wont be relevant as long as Reinsdorf owns it.

    What must it be like to shop at the top of the free agent market? I vaguely remember that feeling in 2015-2016 but since then it has been living in the 2nd and 3rd tiers and dumpster diving the retreads.

    Oh horsefeathers right off. I still find it absurd they get all those extra draft picks.

    I know it's illogical to panic because it's crazy early, but I just have this overwhelming feeling you're looking at some like Gallen to the rotation, Finnegan to the pen and something like Refsnyder as a platoon bat. It's not completely and totally awful per say, just massively underwhelming.

    I know they've been good at finding pen arms. They've also spent prospect capital the last two years at the trade deadline acquiring pen arms, so obviously it wasn't enough.
