    We are about 1 month until pitchers and catchers report and, according to ESPN, the #1, #2, #3, #4, #7, #11, #12, #13, etc. free agents are still unsigned.

    There was an article a few days ago that said there's more demand for Bellinger than Tucker right now because of his versatility.

    After what they did for Shaw and Madrigal, I have no doubts they could make Bichette at 3B work.

    Not sure it's McDaniels fault that he has a QB that has zero business being allowed to put on the pads for medical reasons.

    Yes, god forbid the Cubs start throwing their supposed financial strength around, the one thing that gives them an advantage. Meanwhile MLB is trying to think of more ways to throw as many extra draft picks at the supposedly poor teams as possible

    I like trading Taillon for Gallen in that it's also one less hole to fill after this offseason where they're going to have to fill a ton of them. Performance wise, I don't think there's going to be a whole lot of difference though. Trying to replace all of Shota, Boyd, Taillon, Nico, Seiya, Happ and Kelly in 1 offseason is way too big a project.

    I'm not really sure I see the point to Eugenio Suarez even if he is available. I definitely don't want his glove at 3B over Shaw and while he can hit, is he going to be significantly better than Mo would be at DH? Despite 49 HRs he only put up a 125 wRC+ which is still quite good but not overwhelmingly amazing. I think there's a pretty good chance Mo puts up a 115-120 wRC+ this year and without the 20+M annually that comes with Suarez.

    I'm legitimately confused on how you aren't happy with this rotation and pen, they're both quite good.

    He left himself an extremely narrow path for success, even now he's still only half way there but at least there's far more options now

    They land Bichette or Bregman and I've got them penciled in at #2 in the NL, they'd be #3 but between most likely losing Ranger Suarez and Wheeler's career likely being over, I'm not sure the Phillies can realistically do enough.

    Yup, now that the deal seems to be official, Jed can get down to the nitty gritty on all the numbers. Please for the love of god Jed don't get me all excited about 2026 and then not finish it with a premier bat.

    I'm somewhat concerned that we have pretty much identical top 4s. I thought I was the only one riding the Southisene hype train.

    There's a difference between having a minor difference of opinion and having one party openly endorsing a hate organization. One would be petty to hate, the other is simply calling an horsefeathers an horsefeathers.

    If the 2026 draft is even half as good as the 2025 draft, I'll feet pretty great about this defense next year. Damn was that 2025 draft an absolute killer. Landing a guy who is all ready one of the better tight ends in the league, landing a guy who legit looks like the best receiver on a team that incldues DJ Moore and Rome Odunze, a guy who looks like he might be starting left tackle for the next half decade and Monangai is pretty crazy. I still have some hope for shemar Turner too. Whether or not Zah Frazier even suits up again as a Bear seems up in the air at this point and I've frankly never been particularly impressed with Ruben Hyppolite. Luke Newman probably never sees any meaningful time barring a rash of injuries.

    The point is, where is there proof he doesn't like baseball? It's just meathead horsefeathers because he's very quiet and reserved, especially when he's on a team with very out going people like PCA/Shota

    Right now there's smear articles bring written about him saying he doesn't love baseball and that's why teams aren't willing to commit big

    Oh god, this kind of screams Rojas doesn't it? Maybe it's just like Cristian Hernandez, that's totally unrealistic right? Right??

    I'm as down on Jed as just about anyone, but given the cap space available, given that the rotation is now full, the bullpen is now full and that Cabrera is cheap, payroll wise, I'd be legit surprised if they aren't adding a significant bat to this line up. The pieces just line up too perfectly and honestly with the current roster any of Bichettte/Bregman/Tucker/Bellinger all could work.

    If we had gotten 2.5 fWAR out of Caissie I would have been thrilled.
