Honestly at this point if it's not Imai, I'd rather they just trade for either of Ryan or Cabrera. I think Framber would do very well in front of this defense but I'm not interested in giving 5 years to a 32 year old pitcher. Ranger is a good pitcher, but he'd be yet another lefty and another starter who doesn't strike out a lot of guys. Are the Cubs really going to march out 4 lefties in the rotation? With that said, I think this is all rather optimistic and I wont be at all shocked if the pitcher they pick up is from the Merrill Kelly/Chris Bassitt tier.
