  1. Something we can agree on. Whoever changed the title you should Brandon Spikes'd.
  2. To be fair they made be mad at him right now, but consider the fact that he help lead them to a World Series just LAST YEAR takes a lot of sting away from this year's disappearance. Had the Phillies NOT won it last yr, then Phillies fans would be frustrated and prepared to run Hamels out of Philly. So I think this "pissed off" feeling will subside very quickly.
  3. Don't link to Hockeybuzz as it is very crappy when it comes to rumors. In fact this site rips hockeybuzz a new one and has, IMO discredit hockeybuzz as a legt rumor site. Anything you get from hockeybuzz is pretty much useless. http://hockeybuzzhogwash.com/
  4. Personally I don't think Luc leaves Florida BUT if Tennesseecould pull Nu'keese out of the state then it is definately a possiblity. IMO, that would be a serious blow to UM because in the last two years he would have lost Trent Richardson, Orson Charles, Nu'keese, maybe Jeff Luc all to conference rivals and all could have come on and help Florida Post-Tebow. Florida won't be short for talent, but these guys could have made impacts for the Gators in 2010. Charles for Hernandez, Richardson for Tebow (physical running aspect), Nu'Keese for Murphy, and Luc for Spikes. So if you can get Luc, that would equal to Bama getting Alfy Hill from North Carolina. And I mean that as a pleasant surprise pickup. But one other thing....you guys are going to land a Bama decommit (that I personally hated to lose) in Jawuan James. All good players, no doubt, but the only guy that I know that had an offer at any point from Bama was Dunkley and then I don't how strong that offer was. I mean Bama landed Malone, Carswell, and White, not to mention we also will be landing Keenan Allen after the LSU game. Would we have taken him...yes, but at this point there is no room for him, and if he lands with you guys (which I expect, BTW) you will be getting yourself a heckuva player. Now only if you get yourself a bonafid QB for next yr... :D . As for Dyer, if you ask the Auburn knuckleheads they will tell you that he is a silent commit to then and has been for months now. Personally Dyer has no intentions of signing with Auburn only because AU OL will get him killed. Which is why I am hoping you guys land him and not Arkansas or Auburn.
  5. Ok baseball I love ya and all, but like a mistress; you need to disappear for awhile until I need you again.
  6. I'm not sure there's a single bit of good news in that summary. I don't know if I would go that far, SSR, but at some point the Cubs HAVE to get younger in their everyday players not older.
  7. We have Kirby Smart, Sal Sunseri and James Willis all working with the LBers. And if it is one of Bama's coaches that will replace Andrews, it won't happen till the offseason (since my guess is Andrews will finish out the season and then retire) and my money is on Kirby Smart being the guy, because he has "it" as a coach. And I must admit, I rather Smart go to FSU then GA anyday of the week.
  8. There's not to many "power hitters" that can play 2B. In fact there are 9 guys who hit 20 or more homeruns this season that played 2b. Five of them are not going anywhere (Cano, Hill, Zobrist, Utley and Kinsler). Two other guys hit for good power but can't get on to save their lives (Lopez and Barmes). Another guy who plays in the division and is likely to cost more then what he is worth (Phillips). So really that leaves one guy who is a "power hitter" that can play second and could be available and that is Dan Uggla.
  9. No offense to the Bucks, but losing to Milwaukee is similar to losing to an NBDL team. Then again, without Rose the Bulls are an NBDL team...My bad. The Blackhawks should kick the Bulls out of the UC until the Bulls decide they want to start winning.
  10. He hit 2 homers in that AB, one of which was straight enough to register. Ibanez, wow. Well.....enjoy tonight, Phils. I'm calling it....the Phillies are going to pull a 2004 Boston Red Sox on the Yankees.
  11. Nuke did, in fact, go MIA on Sunday. However, Kiffin knows exactly where he is, and I'm hearing that this has been put to bed already. Yes, he has been homesick- almost from the beginning- but that is not the issue here, as I understand it. This is purely a PT issue, a Nuke thinks he should be getting more than he is. The irony in this is that he chose to wait until Memphis week- his best shot at playing significant snaps- to pull this. I'm getting that Nuke is not going anywhere, but that he is indeed homesick (though being homesick for Pahokee is almost unfathomable to me) and wants to be playing more. He may end up transferring elsewhere, but with commitments from Thompkins and *allegedly* Dunkley, it won't hurt quite as much as you might think. I hope he does not, but if he's going to be a me-first kind of guy (a la Brandon Warren), then so long. I didn't want to come off as a rival fan hoping that a talented player was leaving Tennessee, moreso about the whereabouts about a young man. Good to hear things may be settled.
  12. Here's to Philadelphia pulling a Boston and comes back and take the series.
  13. hey Volunteer guys, what do you make of Nu'Keese Richardson going MIA from practice yesterday? Nobody seems to know where the young man is and why he went MIA, but there are alot of speculation on of your sites (Volnation) that there are rumors that the young man is homesick and is considering transferring back to a school in Florida. Have you heard about it?
  14. I do not like ARod, especially since that "fake" press conference in Spring Training where he admitted to steroids. He didn't sincerely mean it, he got caught with his hand in the cookie jar and was force to admit, otherwise he would have kept doing it. And while it does seem he is about to get a ring, doesn't mean I think he should get on. But oh well, another douchebag with a ring.
  15. I kinda think LSU wins. Possibly without scoring an offensive TD. A refreshed Bama defense at home.....I don't think so. Early line has Bama as 10 point favorites, but I think they will come down to about 3.5 by Saturday. Bama by 10 and it won't even be that close.
  16. No thank you. ARod is still a douche that doesn't deserve a World Series ring. But thats okay, we all know he needs to piggyback off a team that is lead by Jeter to get a ring.
  17. The world ending in 2012 would probably put a hitch in the plan. Stupid Mayans. Don't worry SAMCRO will take care of those Mayans.....
  18. >< this close to giving up the season. Cause if you can't play well against one of the worst teams in football then there is no hope.
  19. No, I just have more faith in the Bulls players then most. That's part homerism, I'll admit, but not blind homerism. As for Bama football, considering the embarrassment Bama football went through for a good part of the past decade (Albert Means, Ray Keller, The Mike's of Price, Shula, and Dubose, etc, etc, etc) I think I am entitled to show enthusiasm about Bama football. Call it blind homerism if you want---btw you would be wrong not a first but that's ok---but I call it being enthusiastic.
  20. Milton Bradley for Lowe would be outstanding for the Cubs, but think about it for a sec WSR: Milton Bradley in Atlanta? That would be hilarious.
  21. So can we safely assume that this Wells-Bradley rumor was simply wishful thinking by Toronto Blue Jays?
  22. No they can't. It's not to insult the Bulls, they're just not on the same level as the top 3. Agree to disagree.
  23. Way too expensive for us I'd imagine. Isn't there an age discrepancy with Chapman. I heard some people say he is 21/22 and others claim he is closer to 26/27 years old? Doesn't matter, I doubt the Cubs will pony up what it will take to get him, and quite frankly I see Jose Contreras all over him, ie comes with hype but failed miserably.
  24. Rose has the injured ankle. He just hasn't looked himself this year. Rose looked good against the Spurs. Gut tells me he's fine. Tonight he didn't play particularly well. With that said the Bulls can hang with the Celts even with KG, but there seems to be a mental block with this team facing the C's in Boston. According to the trib, he woke up with a sore achilles / ankle today. If that was the case, I sure as heck would not have played him 24 minutes tonight, especially since the game was over particularly early.
