  1. So I take it that Curtis Granderson will be this offseasons version of "Brian Roberts" or "Jake Peavy", or is it to early to tell?
  2. Every loss now means Smith and his coaching staff should be a loss closer to getting fired.
  3. I much rather the UFL game right then the Bears. (Mainly because I can get Versus, and not the NFL Network.)
  4. This is such BS and you know it. You are being naive if you believe that Jackson was "unaware of what was happening", considering the fact a witness says they heard him say, "let's go." Furthermore there are rumors that one of the players was still wearing his Tennessee gear at the time of the robbery attempt. So if you don't mind I am going to enjoy this story, because when Jimmy Johns was arrested for dealing crack at Bama, I didn't hear the end of it. Saban threw the kid off the team before you could say "yo", and yet Tennessee and Auburn fans kept harping about how Bama was housing criminials. So, (with apologizes to dew) I think I am going to enjoy the story.
  5. Fact: Bama may be a repeat offender (and let's face facts, most BIG powerhouse schools pull the same crap as Bama, difference is the NZAA's is always looking to punish Bama at any chance, while letting schools like tOSU and USC skirt the damn rules and not face their punishment), but did you know the Auburn University has spent more time on probation in college sports then any other school? Since 1957, Auburn has been on probation a mere 33% of the time. Auburn has been put on probation in football (in fact their lone NCAA Football title, came while on probation), golf and a few other sports. Not to mention they were given probation while on probation over 2 decades ago. While Bama is bad when it comes committing violations, they are not even the worst team at violations in the state. You MAY hate Bama, but I don't hate Tennessee, the fans on the other hand.......
  6. There's a reason why Bowden has been fired by not only one, but two major league organizations. So thank you Bowden, but no the Cubs should not followed your solutions.
  7. omg, haha What else would you call claiming referees are being bribed without proof?
  8. That's pretty pathetic. Must be paying out too much money in referee bribes. I was going to be offended with what you said, but then I realize you were talking tongue-in-cheek. :D Most people I know wouldn't be saying that tongue in cheek. I understand what it looks like, but let's face facts unless people have proof that referees are being bribe (monetary or whatever) then you have to take it with a grain of salt, otherwise you running the risk of facing a slander/libel charge.
  9. I mega-loathe losing to teams the Bulls should beat. But hey, soon enough Bosh will be in Chicago.... :)
  10. You see that's the problem in a nutshell, you 'think' it's the right call, which says to me that you are not 100% about the call. To overturn the call you have to b 100%, and if you can tell with 100% certainty then the refs definately couldn't. Which means they overturn the call on a whim.
  11. good teams don't let games come down to such things The Bulls aren't a good team, yet. Good teams are consistant, the Bulls are more of a solid team that needs all the wins it can get. The Bulls were awarded the game then taken away because of BS call. If the call happen at another point of the game, I would be less angry, but it happen at the end of the game and the REFS AWARD THE SHOT TO MILLER then took it away as if they were playing god.
  12. I bet it was hilarious to see Selig for what he is.....a big buffoon who is the puppet of the owners of MLB.
  13. That joke is what three years too late. As long as the Gold Gloves are given to players on reputation only, instead on legit merit that joke won't go out of style.
  14. I am prepare to offer the Tigers: Austin Jackson, Gordon Beckham, and Colby Rasmus for Granderson.... :D
  15. Everybody knows that the NBA is nothing more then a sports mafia, and Stern is the godfather.
  16. If by Wood you mean Kerry, then there is no chance----what's lower then no chance?---of Bradley going back to Cleveland, period.
  17. Fact #1: Jackson has had one above averge productive half season in his career. Fact #2: His second half numbers were: .290/.356/.500/.856 that what hitters were doing to Jackson in the 2nd half, 5.07era and a whip of 1.53. His K/BB ratio dropped in the 2nd half, he gave up more homeruns in the 2nd half then the 1st half, etc. His 2nd half was the complete reverse of his first half. And since he hasn't had a complete year and he is on the verge of getting expensive, I would move on from Jackson, PDQ.
  18. Seeing as both teams are not playing well at all, it wouldn't surprise me if this isn't another Detroit/St. Louis type game.
  19. As expected the NBA is backing the refs. Apparently the NBA would rather the fans to continue to have suspicions about refs, instead of admitting a mistake and overturn the call. At least the Bulls won't have to wait long to get back on those bums from Denver. (November 21). IMO, the Bulls won that game and was literally stolen from them.
  20. That's pretty pathetic. Must be paying out too much money in referee bribes. I was going to be offended with what you said, but then I realize you were talking tongue-in-cheek. :D
  21. The call should stand unless there is indisputable evidence that he didn't get the shot off. And since there isn't any indisputable evidence to prove it (and don't get me wrong the call could go either way, but they DID rule it good and by definition to overturn it there has to be indisuptable evidence, which there wasn't), the refs decided that the Nuggets "won" this game. By the way it sound after the game, I believe the Bulls will protest this call.
  22. Maybe, but if Taj Gibson turns out to be a Horace Grant type player for the Bulls, then I'm pleased with the deal. I'm glad he's doing good for you guys, but I'm not nor the Bulls losing any sleep over trading Thabo. You guys just have to hope that he isn't Trenton Hassell part 2.
  23. The article says tht starting this Saturday, certain schools will be parading these "bad boys" in their games. I'm not against new look uniforms, but like the "turn ahead the clock" jersey's in baseball a fews ago, these, IMO are doomed to be.......stupid.
  24. I feel that Rafael Palmeiro was truly robbed of a Gold Glove this year.
  25. Good article. I don't know about the other Bears fans, or Packers fans, but right now the Bears season feels like the Cubs season in September.
