  1. Not that it matters all that much, but the Bears just released Erwin Baldwin from the practice squad.
  2. Sureeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee. Just because USC and UCLA did that a couple of years ago doesn't mean squat. It's not doucey, it's gimmicky, and Alabama football and more important Nick Saban football doesn't need or required gimmicks. So just because Alabama said no to the crimson .v. orange jersey doesn't make it doucey, crying about something so trivial now that says douchebaggery.
  3. I can't wait till Josh McDaniels becomes the new Eric Mangini and Kyle Orton gets grossly overpaid
  4. If Alabama is one dimensional (and that isn't even close, btw, Bama has 6 guys with over 130 yards and a TD, Bama has and forever will be a running team first) it is because McElroy seems to be forcing it abit. If McElroy goes back to spreading the field like he did earlier, Bama's offense will be fine. If Tenneess needs a big defensive play to win the game, then they are in trouble. Besides, Bama will stay away from Berry. I so expect Eric Berry to be a complete no factor in the game. Tennessee will keep the game competitive, and the game will be close, but ultimately Alabama's superior talent and depth (not to mention the superior coaching Bama has over Tennessee, excluding Monte Kiffin) will prevail like it has in every game this yr. I say Bama win the game something like 24-7.
  5. I do think Tennessee will keep it competitive like Ole Miss and USCeast did. A score of something like 24-7, or something of the like is what I am expecting. With Alabama getting their bye after you guys I think Tennessee will get a very crisp and sharp game. But I hate to tell you this, dew, even if Crompton isn't the worst freakin' QB in the SEC, Bama wll basically send him to the shrink after the game. As for Bama running a traditional offense, this is true, but Alabama also run the "Pistol" offense, an a couple of other offense I'm not familiar with.
  6. Each QB are facing a top notch defense, and while the weather isn't an excuse it has played a part in the game. With that said, Garcia is playing like the norm, but I am disappointed in GMac performance the last two weeks... BTW, Ingram for Heisman. I know he won't get it, but man he has been impressive the whole season, but even moreso against two of the SEC's better defenses.
  7. fixed. :hello: so i guess we won't be seeing you after the game then.
  8. Am I the only one that finds it humorous that the Bucs are turning to a guy like Stylez to replace Adams in their lineup? I mean, come on....Stylez?
  9. It could mean the Bears are seriously considering moving Gilbert to the inside, or it could affect Melton's status with the team. I think acquiring Adams means Wale is likely gone. But based on pure talent and athlethic ability a three way rotation of Gilbert/Melton and Adams would be nice, but only if CRM can get all three playing anywhere near their talent level.
  10. If Cutler continues to play well like he has and Gaines plays to the ability he shown in his first two seasons then Cutler and Adams will be better players then anybody the Bears could have drafted in the 1st and 2nd rd picks. Not to mention both players are still on rookie contracts (tho that will be changing very soon, imo), so it's not as if the Bears are overpaying for either guy. So this is definately a good deal for the Bears, but the pressure is on Rod to get Gaines to play to his ability, which I have no doubt he will.
  11. At his age, could Pujols even survive surgery?
  12. I bet you also wanted to see the Lakers/Celtics matchup, too. At this point, I much rather see Angels .v. Dodgers/Phillies over anything that includes the Yankees.
  13. Everyone I know with Brees is worried about him this weekend. I don't know... the Giants have a good defense but they've played some pretty terrible teams. I'd stick with Brees over Manning. That's what I am thinking. But come Saturday night, I will prolly flip a coin.
  14. My quarterbacks are Eli Manning and Drew Brees.......... :D I'm leaning towards starting Brees, due to Eli's injury concerns.
  15. I tend to agree, but considering that Owens is on a contract yr (well duh, all one yr deal are technically contract years), I think he might keep his malcontent to a minimum. I mean you want to believe that Rosenhaus is in his ear every day that if he wants another deal he has to be on his best behavior. This wouldn't be thinking long-term, but for the remainder of the yr, it wouldn't hurt, cause if he steps out of line the Bears would have no problem cutting him loose. If for nothing else bringing in Owens would easily leave the Bears with more favorable matchups for Hester, Knox and Bennett, and even Greg Olsen. I'm torned about acquiring Owens. If it's nothing more then say a 2011 4th rd pick, I wouldn't mind it.
  16. I go to bed last night, thinking this was "one of those games" that a team completely seems disinterested in playing, and when I rise from a much needed resting of the night I see the Hawks come back and win the game in OT? Colour me pleasantly surprise, but damn Hawks you don't need to toyed with the Flames like that, tho. With that said, after last night's game there is NO DEFICIT the Hawks can't come back from for the rest of the season.
  17. Benson and Orton are no longer Bears and they shouldn't be of any concern to us fans. Let them enjoy their success, but something tells me at the end of the season nobody will want Orton/Benson back over Cutler/fORTE.
  18. #-o I meant fail, but TY for pointing out what everybody does on this board, tho. :D
  19. Bronco's defense is 5-0 good Maybe. But some reason when they fall they will fall. With that said, I can't wait for Morrissey to question why the Bears traded two first rd picks, a 3rd and Kyle Orton for Cutler, when the Bears could have kept Orton and build around Kyle. I simply cannot wait.
  20. Maybe, just maybe a non QB can win the award this year?
  21. Man, the Broncos are not 5-0 good. WTH. I wonder when Morrissey or some jackal over in the Denver are going to write an article about how Jay was the reason why the sucked last year?
  22. I might be crazy, but I'm as amped for this one as I've ever been for a USC game, except maybe 05 - and then only because I had tickets to it. If Jimmy can pull off this miracle it'll be hard for him not to be the Heisman front-runner. Lou Holtz is that you? Even with a good game against USC, I still have McCoy as the unquestioned favorite for the Heisman Trophy, especially if he/Texas can beat Oklahoma.
  23. Tim Tebow will be a better NFL QB! Yes I said it. Now that saying very little.
  24. I didn't say he should be fired, but locals in GA are definately getting restless abour Richt and his stubborn loyalties to Willie Martinez and Mike Bobo.
