I'm sure he can't do worse than every other crappy lead-off option we've had this season. Which is why Lofton was such a huge key to the 2003 playoff run. /hopes Furcal is a Cub next year
You know this answer. Quite possibly one of the worst GM's of all time. Well Stoney took some shots at him for trading for Burnitz and then Burnitz sucking butt in New York
They never let it rest. That's one of the reasons I hate ESPN. Once the masses of Cub Fans let it go, so will ESPN & Fox. Gary Miller was out there and said the guy sitting in the "Bartman Seat" didn't even know it. I think Cubs fans are over it, and want people to shut up about it.
Today is one of those rare days when I'll watch ESPN instead of WGN. Love to hear what Stoney has to say about the team these days. He's already said he thinks Burnitz will be back next year [-(
He is? I guess I haven't seen that. He's been an OF this year because that's where our biggest need for him has been, not second base. I don't understand where you're going with that or why you're complaining that he's been used in our awful outfield. Before he was moved to OF everyone was wondering if he could play OF because he was out of place. Now it seems like that's the only spot Dusty will play him... Exactly. Perez has moved above Hairston on the depth chart at 2B, even though Hairston is a natural 2B
