  1. Hahaha... Hawk's prediction not looking so good. Grand slam Minnesota, now lead 12-4. Of course, the booth is silent.
  2. Hawk just guaranteed the Sox will come back and win this game. They are currently down 8-4 in the top of the 4th. Bases loaded for Minnesota and one out.
  3. Can we stop putting Guzman into these scenarios until he proves he can pitch without hurting himself?
  4. Well I sure hope you are wrong. I really want this team to make it and for Kerry to be a part of it. I think he took game 7 in '03 really hard. I hope I'm wrong too. But I just quit caring/paying attention to Wood and Prior a long time ago.
  5. I think Kerry Wood doesn't throw one pitch for the Cubs this year.
  6. The Cardinals aren't dead yet.
  7. yeah, insane. ward picked up the slack nicely Its hardly insane, players need days off. It is a long, long season, guys are going to need rest. Ward is a fine replacement, and everyone's favorite whipping boy even contributed 2 doubles. I love seeing the overboard reactions everytime a starter gets a day off.
  8. Probably stems more from his years as a Cardinals broadcaster.
  9. Is it apparent to anyone else who is watching on MLB EI that Bob Carpenter absolutely cannot stand the Cubs?
  10. Haven't been around since the beginning of the thread when everyone was pissing and moaning about the lineup. I for one and glad Ward was in there tonight.
  11. Wah, Wah, Wah! This team should still win tonight. If you want to get anything for Jacque, you might as well get him in the lineup and give him a chance to show something to other teams.
  12. Laroche is on fire. He could be a load this weekend.
  13. It was just in 5 2/3 innings. The Cubs didn't just demote K-rod or anything. Just getting a fresh arm up for the final few games before the break.
  14. Probably will wait and activate him after the All-Star break, but thats just an educated guess. Pagan has contributed more to this team then Pie, I'd rather see him go down.
  15. Aweome, call up the Braves board and get the paperwork headed to the commissioner's office. Does the Braves board have Schuerholz's POA?
  16. Stay hot Cubs. Hopefully fate doesnt bite them in the butt. By that I mean playing the Nationals, in Washington D.C., on the 4th of July.
  17. This inning is a perfect example why I feel Marmol is more valuable in the setup role as opposed to being the closer.
  18. Come on now, this would be a huge run to pick up with two outs.
  19. I don't mean bad on Welly, but I'm glad the Royals finally wised up and let him go. He's had a hard time figuring it out and making the necessary judgments. He has a great arm, but really can't harness it.
  20. My old teammate Wellemeyer is getting lit up by Arizona. When he pitches I just hope that he pitches well, but the Cardinals still lose.
  21. Nady on 3rd, nobody out.
  22. Insightful comment. How does this crap stay on here?
  23. Theriot or Izturis wetting your noodle at the 6? :) Yes, I sleep in my Izturis jersey every night. Viva Izturis!
