  1. If Izturis had a big day every time we bitched about him being in the lineup he'd be batting .600 Yeah, oh well. I just sit back and enjoy the bitch sessions that ensue. He's on the team, its inevitable he is going to start every now and then. I particularly love the "Cubs are guaranteed to lose" posts that usually follow. And the theory holds true once again... You know, its a good thing we have you around to show how smart you are, and how stupid all us ignorant people are. I really dont know what we'd do if we didnt have you around to do this..... Haha..whatever. Thats hardly this purpose of the post. I simply found it amusing after the hissy fit that occured earlier.

  3. Nice inning. Started by the one and only Cesar Izturis!
  4. I was happy with the drunk we had last year. You know what I mean though. If he sends the guy 50% call him an idiot if he's thrown out. If he holds a guy the other 50% is made he didn't send him.
  5. As I've said many times before, nobody will ever be happy with the 3B coach. He's either too cautious or too agressive.
  6. I thought if you went after the ball it was in play? Ok..looks like he didn't.
  7. Come on.. From Quade's angle the throw looked good. He would have been out by 20 feet.
  8. That's because we have seen 33 pitches through 3. Unreal. He's pounding the strikezone. I'm not going to put all of that on the Cubs.
  9. Maybe we'll call up Murton tomorrow. Or pull the string on a deal for Dunn. I'd need clean pants if that happened. personally, i wouldn't even bother getting clean pants for myself, they'd just get ruined soon after If the Reds ever considered trading Dunn to the Cubs, they are going to want a lot in return.
  10. Dick Stockton is probably wondering what in the hell is wrong with Hill.
  11. Well at least now Cliff has got the vultures off Cesar's back for the time being. :D
  12. Right here... I could easily see Dunn having the same result right there. Maybe, but he's also just about 100 times more likely to win a game with his bat. Well, he didn't ask about offense.
  13. The construction going on across the street is pretty annoying.

  15. I have to argue that today, you need all the offense you can get. If there was ever a day to put Fontenot at SS and in the 2nd spot; today is the day. While SS isn't his natural position, he can play it. Ted Lilly is an extreme fly ball pitcher. The Cubs need baserunners today. Izturis could prove me wrong and go out and put up a 3-5, but that's much more likely with Mike Fontenot in the lineup. I see your point, but I think we are overestimating how adequate Fontenot would be at SS.
  16. I think FOX should let Dempster do it every time.
