    I think has been said before but Joey Gallo is having a weird season. He has 36 home runs and an .893 OPS, but with a .203 batting average and a .227 BABIP. He has 73 hits on the year and only 20 of those are singles. Over a full season, he would have 51 homers with 98 RBI. In the month of August, he has a 1.194 OPS with a .179 BABIP. Only five of his hits were not home runs. What this basically boils down to is he is the new Adam Dunn.

    Wei-Yin Chen and Mike Leake each got $80 million. Arrieta is easily getting $100. Probably 150 from a team with cash that's desperate for pitching (Rangers, Giants, Yankees, heck even the Astros).

    I definitely think Maples gets called up. Tseng should be added to the 40-man but they could shut him down due to innings limit. Part of my wants Taylor Davis and Andreoli to get called up for depth/make their MLB debuts but that isn't likely without injuries.

    Wasn't there a joke on the cubs.com board about Augie Ojeda being like his favorite because he seemed to play more than he should? Ojeda and Baylor was Dusty and Macias/Neifi before Dusty/Macias/Neifi was a thing. I could also be totally making this up.
