    The Pirates got Cole because the Yankees couldn't sign him after taking him in the first round. I enjoy the idea of them trading good prospects for him years later and then him potentially tanking.

    Happ and Albertos for Machado Russell and Almora for Yelich, Straily and Barraclaugh Thoughts? I should add I'm in favor of standing pat offensively and saving up for Harper but I could live with it this way.

    I wonder if he'd be in a Machado trade? Phillies fans LOVE Hoskins. I think they'd riot if he were traded. Plus the Orioles have a ton of 1B/OF/DH types already.

    I'd have to imagine he is pushing for more years or money and the Cubs are content to explore trades and wait for his price to change a little.

    Angels getting Kinsler and Headley. At the very least, they'll have a pretty good defense next year, with Simmons, Trout, Kalhoun and random all glove, no bat catcher Scioscia insists on having start.

    Really want Davis back now. If he'd take a Morrow type deal but for more money, I'd jump on it.

    Bruce playing RF in that ballpark would be amusing, at least. Getting Bruce and trading for Billy Hamilton would be such a Giants offseason. If we were asked to predict their moves I think we could have safely guessed that.

    i don't like the idea of the cardinals getting very good players who make little money, but maybe i'm nuts. Would it make you feel better if they celebrated getting Ozuna and we got Yelich hours later? (the answer is obviously yes and there's no rumors about this but a guy can dream)

    Nah I like the idea the Cardinals feeling desperate and dealing a bunch of solid prospects for a good but not elite outfielder. After giving poor Dex $90 million last year.

    Would Happ and Zagunis suffice? I like Salazar a lot but we might be playing with fire going after all these pitchers with injury concerns/history.

    Holy horsefeathers. Morrow's deal is looking better and better. Also remember how we traded Junior Lake for Tommy Hunter once upon a time?

    Yeah I've long been a fan of Smyly and like the potential for him to be part of the staff in 2019. Also, how could his parents name him Drew instead of Guy?
