  1. I like Hoerner a lot and believe he can handle SS fine. We were spoiled with one of the best for several years. That said, signing Semien or another big SS and using Hoerner and Bote as super utility guys seems like a good way to go as well. Can still get Hoerner 350-400 PA that way (assuming health of course).
  2. Oh man. What are Meph and MurtonFan up to?
  3. I mean if he can throw two pitches well and bring some heat and ends up topping out as a 7th-8th inning reliever, that's a fine return for a backup rental outfielder.
  4. That return is awful. Almost seems like Hoyer waited too long and took the best package left available to him before having to keep Bryant. Garbage trade, garbage organization.
  5. [tweet] [/tweet] He was once a big time prospect.
  6. I don't love this at all but am I wrong in thinking that's not great if it's Javy+Williams for just PCA?
  7. I'm not ok and I won't be. This horsefeathering sucks.
  8. Madrigal a heck of a player but he and Nico are the same profile (contact over power, solid defense). It's not a bad return but it is confusing.
  9. [tweet] [/tweet] Seriously if none of Vaughn, Crochet, Kopech are in this deal then what's the point
  10. Braves are trading for Eddie Rosario and Adam Duvall. Joc wasn't enough for them.
  11. Holy horsefeathers that's a heck of a return for the Twins. You could argue they got more than the Nats got for Scherzer. Good for them.
  12. This horsefeathering sucks. I've had an awful week and this is the horsefeathers cherry on top. I would like something awful to befall the Ricketts.
  13. This horsefeathering sucks. I've had an awful week and this is the horsefeathers cherry on top. Anyone want to go k--- the Ricketts bc that would be fine.
  14. Hard throwing lefty for a rental non-closer reliever. Seems fine. Maybe not as good as we might have liked but it is what it is. The return for Chafin was better. I assume if we move Brothers we'd get something like this or a deep lottery ticket. Also others have noted the Cubs likely heavily scouted this guy recently as a 2020 draft pick and have their own reports and ideas about him. And goodbye, MVP vote getter.
  15. Marlins are getting Jesus Luzardo holy crap
  16. I saw someone compare Reichmann to Chris Coghlan with more power. I don't hate that. Maybe he doesn't become a star but that's a useful player.
  17. Athletics are getting Marte from the Marlins.
  18. Vegas is a launching pad - for a guy who is supposed to have 70 raw power, four home runs is really disappointing. His BA is being propped up by a .400 babip. He had major contact issues in 2018 & 19. He's lost a bunch of development time to injuries. I'm not saying he's going to be a bust and I'll trust K's knowledge of the guy...but the stats don't tell me a pretty story other than the big bump in walk rate and more manageable strikeout level in '21. I saw someone suggest it may be an over correction to try to focus on contact over power for a bit. But idk, I'm not a scout. Again, pretty interested in the other prospect and hoping it's an intriguing arm.
  19. A shame we're losing Chafin's mustache and personality. Maybe he comes back as a free agent.
  20. Eh it's a fine start. I'd assume the other player coming back is Single-A lottery ticket. This kid seems to mash and I assume will be up in the majors shortly. He was drafted by Kantrovitz.
  21. Where does he even fit in that lineup? He's an upgrade on Profar and Kim this season based on what they've done but it's quite a crowded infield now.
  22. Then maybe we can get him at 3/15. If it's good enough for Ryan Sweeney...
