after throttling south carolina last year iowa's white guys are probably looking for more of a challenge.

People don't hate Iowa because they are undefeated. It's because they play in a weak conference, are over-rated and play a sissy non-conference schedule . They should be ranked about #14. Florida, Alabama, Texas and USC would crush them and about 9 other good teams would beat them easily. It's amazing that for playing such a sissy non-conference schedule they still have the highest SOS of any of the undefeated teams. It wasn't brutal but at Iowa State and Arizona aren't garbage. Yes they play in a weak conference. So does everyone in the discussion. What conference is really good this year? The ACC? Big East? Big 12? The SEC is half of what it's hyped up to be. The Pac-10 is very solid this year. that's my main complaint. i've yet to see any conference establish itself as head and shoulders above the rest.

call me crazy, but i think usc's pending three td loss to oregon is more impressive than iowa's 18 point win against indiana. i'd go ahead and say usc should jump iowa in the rankings.

Aaron Corp. it's a known fact that 1 missed game at quarterback for USC has been the only injury in college football this season. I was pointing out the difference between Barkley and Corp at QB, not excusing the loss completely. they still lost to washington.

Texas fits all those criteria, Florida doesn't play anyone non conference and USC lost to freaking Washington. And Iowa would destroy all those team, because I said so. Iowa State, Arkansas State, Arizona and a bunch of Big Ten patsies. LOL at Iowa's schedule. according to sagarin (i know, i know, not as reliable as nsbb's voice of reason), iowa has a tougher schedule than florida, alabama, texas, boise state, tcu, cincinnati, and lots and lots and lots and lots of other teams.

I don't think anyone hates Iowa. We're just trying to point out that your team has many cracks in the armor and would probably get beat handily by a team like Alabama, Florida, or Texas. Id say you guys are pissing and moaning more about rankings. No one is denying that there are "cracks in the armor" - but the other top 3 teams all have flaws as well. Florida just hasnt been exposed yet, and Texas is not that much better than Iowa. Alabama is the only team I would put above Iowa, and I still say we could beat them on gameday. Id say winning by 18 points when you lost Richardson, Robinson, and Sandeman last week aint bad. Iowa has become very familiar with the term "next man in line" this year, and keeps winning. The only people that think Iowa is better than any of those teams is a certain percentage of the Hawkeye fanbase. I put out this question last week, but rank these 4 unbeaten teams: Iowa TCU Cinci Boise State. The only real reason Iowa is ranked ahead of any of them is because they come from a major conference. right. so they've played a tougher schedule.

if iowa had started the season ranked #2 or something and florida ranked #24 or something, iowa would be easily ranked ahead of florida.
