  1. Because their PR campaign is "we'll try on a few guys but not really hit on anything because we can't afford it." Ellsbury is a very good player and you wouldn't come close to $21m for him. That is absurd. You aren't going to get very good players if you aren't willing to pay very high dollars.
  2. Well at least we know the front office's pr campaign is working. Yeah, no. How else do you explain not being welling to pay "even close" to $21m to a player of that ability?
  3. Actually, I doubt there are many Yankees fans who have ARod in their current "best case scenario" lineup.
  4. Are we sure he's not just dancing at a club in Brooklyn? http://imgick.nj.com/home/njo-media/pgmain/img/jersey-journal/photo/2013/12/-c052c68901f91bf7.JPG
  5. Dave Otto? Otto is just a goofy cliche machine. You can do a whole lot better, but Hollandsworth is an aggressively awful goon.
  6. Two leagues, two number 2 seeds, two byes. I'm thinking about sitting out all my guys this week in hopes they get rested for the league championship games.
  7. Well at least we know the front office's pr campaign is working.
  8. Kind of surprised by some of the reaction considering I thought we all assumed they weren't going to be in on anything interesting.
  9. I like your style raw. But we've gone from the it would be nice to have them win out the rest of the season to it is now an absolute necessity to win every game.
  10. That could be fun. Chicago hates Cutler (stupid people), can't imagine what NYC would think. They would welcome him as a hero and then begin to tear him apart by the 2nd preseason game. This would be terrible for me.
  11. And I only remember him having maybe one or two seasons that weren't sub replacement level.
  12. I was shocked to see he was still in baseball.
  13. No, we can't. Because there is no argument in support of doing what they did. It was stupid and indefensible.
  14. How do you have a league that allows this? Both of those teams should be kicked out of the playoffs and let the next batch in.
  15. That is just a whole bunch of wrong. He didn't barely miss a 66-yarder, that was caught in the end zone easily because it was way short. Gould is good, but he's not perfect. He is 65-90 in his career from 40-49 yards. He misses a couple of those every season and the fact that he had not missed one before yesterday doesn't mean he was done missing them. If it's 4th down, you kick it, but it wasn't 4th down and they could have gotten closer. Just like they could have done something more than gain one lousy yard at the end of regulation when attempting the 66-yard nonsense that never should have been attempted.
  16. I'm not furious at the defense in this game, they probably outperformed their ability. This offense hasn't been scoring for a while now, averaging less than 20 points per four quarters since the GB game.
  17. They're hockey players. Nothing of value would be damaged. I assume he values his feet.
  18. Flat out suck would suggest a different record.
  19. I don't either. Just frustration. But [expletive] he's a terrible in-game decision maker. He can say all the [expletive] he wants to try to sound smart, but he is clearly coaching scared right now. You go for 4th down on your own side of the field with a lead in GB, but you don't go for it on the opposite side of the field on 4th down with a lead today? You don't coach to prevent a penalty. Turnover yeah, don't [expletive] throw it. He's pretty much lost 2 games this year with bad coaching decisions. Not even 2nd guessing [expletive]. Straight up bad decisions that are preventable with common [expletive] sense. His weaknesses in that area are worse than I expected. But his strengths in making the offense move are better. I think in theory how weakness is fixable. But that's just theory. Same thing we said about Lovie. Very true, but offense matters more, so I'm willing to hope.

  21. Def coaching staff needs overhaul, but that is expected and possible 1- year into trestman era.
  22. Letting him attempt a 79 yard field goal and then giving all faith in his ot kick makes me think he had a bizarre confidence in Goulds new daddy storyline
