I don't think you'd win that argument. I'm not saying that he won't turn it around and once again be a productive, if not valuable piece to the puzzle. But the ship on him being the key to it all has sailed; and promptly blown up by the USS BryZzo and The Jolly Schwarber I don't think you understand what the argument is. The idea that Starlin deserves to be here when this team wins is related to the fact that he's had to put up with more BS terribleness and tanking than anybody on the team. He was rushed to the majors at 20 and performed well and was the centerpiece of the team when the team had nothing else going for it during the Hendry downfall. Castro has dealt with the entirety of the Ricketts era, which has mostly been awful, and he has dealt with a disproportionate amount of blame for all that awfulness the entire time. The argument is not that he is the key to the entire team.
