    I also believe this is at least partially due to old timey times when they had much longer road trips. They would be home for 15/16 games then go on the road for the same amount. The 1945 Cubs had a 10 game win streak on the road, but started out 3-3 on a 16 game trip. Plus, the Cubs have had so few winning seasons in the modern era that there haven't been a lot of opportunities to rack up a bunch of road wins in a row, yet still lose 90.

    I love the detail "during each egging". I'd call him a cereal vandalizer even if that's not eggsactly what's going on here and frankly, the police should have gotten over this easy.

    I think any uniform variation, including pants, is an alternate. And you get two alternates. So was that a recent change? Because in 09 they went from white on white in the first road game to white and blue the rest of them, while still having their two orange jersey games (I think). http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/11464262/college-nfl-differ-widely-uniform-culture this story is from 2014. 1. The five-year rule. NFL rules allow teams to change their uniforms only once in a five-year period (and of course some teams have opted to stick with the same look for much longer than that), which imposes at least a modicum of visual stability on the league. The NCAA has no such rule, which allows for an ever-changing cavalcade of uni designs. 2. The "only one alternate" rule. NFL rules allow a team to wear only one alternate or throwback uniform per season, so a team is effectively limited to a maximum of three jerseys in a given year. There are plenty of college teams that will have worn more jerseys than that by the first week of October, because the NCAA has no cap on uniform designs.

    Interesting back story here. He was put in jail for 7 years for egging police cars. But the legend says cops were impressed with both the dents put in their cars AND the accuracy that was shown during each egging. Long story short, the Dominican police captain knows Theo. He made a call for the kid and here he is..... Being that eggs and baseballs are a bit different, Julian is a bit raw at this stage and may be what's known as a late bloomer. This is kind of awesome. Omelette you finish but that is the greatest backstory ever told.

    Saturday games are way better for those looking to party. Which I assume are a lot of people going to Cub games.... Also for people visiting from out of town. Fly in Friday night, game and stuff Saturday, fly home Sunday.

    History tells us that demand does not truly reach high levels until after the team has returned to playoff caliber. You could get tickets very easily in 1998, 2003 and 2008. It was the following years where costs soared. 5 straight years of complete ineptitude erased the demand and that wasn't going to return this year unless they went on an epic run and looked to be division contenders. As it is now, they are on the cusp of the second wild card. And they can't score any runs. That is not going to put butts in seats.
